PKC 14-03 Sketch Challenge and Curtain Call Challege ~ Wake Up And Smell The Coffee!

Howdy!
It's sketch challenge time over at Peachy Keen Stamps!  I love using sketches, for challenges or just when I have creative block.  By using different papers or just turning it like I did, the same sketch can be used over again and not get old!

My Project today is a decorated lunch box clock.  I had been given this kit a loooong time ago and wanted to save it for something fun and retro.  I think this fits the bill!  :)

It's hard to see, but I first added stickles to the crystal know on the coffee pot, then before it dried I covered it with glossy accents.  It creates depth of sparkles, almost like an opal.  I've been using it a lot on my projects lately, so don't be surprised to see more in the future. :)

Trendspotting ~ It's Time To Get Better!

Hi Peachy Peeps!  I'm so excited I get to share with you a project for
Peachy Keen's new feature Trendspotting.  As you can see from the inspiration picture above,
the "trend" is use of blues ~ and of various bold, yet traditional patterns and natural fibers.

So here's my take on the color and texture trend...

Even though this card is monochromatic it still has a lot of depth and texture.

I didn't have the color pearls I wanted so I colored white ones with my copic marker...love my copics!!!

MCT ~ Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ Happy Spring!

Hey paper lovin' friends!
Welcome to day 2 of My Creative Time February Release Sneak Peek!  Today I'm showcasing "I'm a lucky Girl"! stamp and die set.  The card I'm sharing with you today has a lot going on.  However, since I used soft colors it's not as busy as it could have been.  :)

I've made two cards for today, one is definitely a St. Patrick's Day card and the other is a spring card.  I wanted to show you that this darling hat die isn't just for St. Patty's Day.  Using a different color gave it a new feel...almost like the rabbit's hat from Beatrix Potter.

Something new has been happening this year with My Creative Time sneaks.  Miss Emma has let some of us do a Pre-Sneak of something to be released next month.  Can you see what it is?

MCT February Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ Baby, You're A Superstar!

Hi Everyone, welcome to My Creative Time, February Sneak Peeks Day 1!  Well, just like clock work, Miss Emma has done it again!  The stamps and dies are so FUN and Versitile!

For my projects I wanted to do something different with the "Bracket Sentiments" & the "Bracket Dies" that I'm showcasing today! So I came up with these fun favors for a baby shower and little "congrats" gift!

Now I know that using Hershey bars for a baby shower isn't new, however I always see them with a "window" cut out.  The small bracket die fit perfectly around the small bars.

Adding the small star and heart to cover the star and flower button totally changes the look of the
button dies.  I love taking something and changing it up to make it something it else.

Then I just had to do a larger bar with the large bracket die and "Bracket Sentiments".

Then adding a few more items from older releases works so well together!

Let's Get Coffee!

Happy Happy Friday!!!!
I have a fun retro card to share with you today!  Recently I received a pile of ephemeral, even though I'm not sure how to really use it.  So you have receive fair warning of me sharing new ideas with you!  lol!

I made this card for my sister in law, we love to get together just rarely have time :/  I used the label and coffee cup from Peachy Keen Stamps.  The sentiment and scallop border are from My Creative Time!  I stamped the label three times, cutting out two of the square part of the banner for the sentiment, then added chunky glitter for the necessary bling!  After I popped up the coffee cup, I added a small amount of glossy accents to the coffee.  (it's hard to see)
