MCT Designer Challenge ~ hello!

Wow, can you believe that it time for March's Designer Challenge over at My Creative Time!!!  

The time is flying by...at least for me it is.  Some days I just want it to slow down so I can just enjoy the moment.  As I say that I also am looking forward to spring and all that comes with it.  :) I find that to be the hard part...looking forward to something yet not missing what right in front of you.  Well that's enough of the ramblings going on in my head...lol!

Just like always, for the challenge you can choose to use the photo, the colors, the sketch, or any combination of them.

As you can see I chose to use all three :)

To create the background, I stamped the "grainy wood" then inked the edges.  In person it looked a bit dull so I added versamark ink over the whole piece then clear heat embossed it.  Wow, what a difference that made!

PKS May Photo/Color Challenge ~ Flowers!

Welcome to Peachy Keen Stamps May photo/color challenge!  As soon as I saw the inspiration photo and colors I knew that I would be making flowers with sweet faces!  

I used cut files from Miss Kate Cuttables for the flowers and leaves, and edge dies for the border.  If you look closely you can see on the stripe paper there are stitch cuts.  To create stitch cuts, I used the scallop border with the paper just below the scallops.  I'll try to take a picture next time :)

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge 14-01 ~ Hello Friend!

Hi Everybody!  Welcome to Peachy Keen's first sketch challenge of 2014!  I'm so excited to share with you my first official post as a Design Team member for Peachy Keen!  The team is broken down into two teams, I'm on team #2 and really not scheduled for today's sketch.  However I just couldn't contain myself and had to play along!

Today's card is for the mother of a friend of mine from another Design Team.  She's had a rough time recently, I hope this will cheer her up!

 I love how glossy accents, chalk and a bit of white gel pen gives these fabbie stamps some life!
