Wedding Banner and First Anniversary Winner!

Hi Everyone,  It's 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time today!  I wasn't on the schedule however I wanted to share a banner that I made for my nephew's new bride for her Wedding Shower!  We called it a Wedding Shower, since they got married at the court house and didn't have a real reception or any showers before the ceremony.

I'm so sorry for the pictures being so dark...I lightened them up as much as I could.  Now really don't fall off your chair...I used my Cricut twice in two weeks!

I also used My Creative Time stamps and dies.  The hearts, tags and keys are all dies (at each end and in between the words), I stamped "celebrate" and "love" on each of the tags.

One my AMAZING friends baked all of these wonderful desserts!  Of course there weren't any left over!  :(
Oh and she made that FABULOUS floral arrangement too!

Hello my crafty friends!  First of all to my east coast friends, I hope you've weathered the storm and are safe!  As crazy as it sounds, here in California it was mid 70's.  I can't believe it's the end of October with this warm weather!
Today I wanted to share a card I made for a "new to me " challenge blog, Deconstructed Sketch No. 75.  If you've been living under a rock as I have, go check out her great sketches!

It's hard to see, but I stamped the chicken wire background on a small border attached under the jute.

Happy Fall ~ Card!

Good morning my crafty friends! I have a fun Fall card to share with you today.  I don't always have time to enter challenges, but I did this week.  So I headed over to Peachy Keen's blog to see what their challenge was.  I'm not sure if you noticed, but lately I've been using nontraditional colors for the seasons.  I used blues, creams, and brown for my fall card and The Cornies Peachy Keen faces, to make it even more unconventional!

The challenge is to showcase the sentiment or words as the focal point,

Of course I had to add glitter!  My card never look complete until I add it!  :)

My Creative Time Guest Designer~Friday Tip of the Day

Hi Paper Lovers!  I'm thrilled to pieces to be a Guest Designer for My Creative Time again.  Especially since now that we know Emma's son Aaron is on the mend and getting stronger everyday!

Since Emma usually has her Friday Tip of the Day, I'm going to give a little tip.  For today's project I wanted to create a card using clear cardstock.  I have noticed that when trying to cut clear cardstock it doesn't alway cut all the way through.  Could be because my blade needs to be replaced.  But I have a simple fix, just cut it out twice, using multi cut function.  Now I know this seems like a no brainer, however, sometimes even those that are experienced forget the simple stuff!  :)

First thing I did was to fold in half thin white cardstock.  Then I placed the hot air balloon die so the fold of the paper was just below the top cut line.  Yes it will make the balloon flat on the top.  This cut was glued inside the card.  Then I stamped two balloons, one out of the blue and one out of the red.  After cutting both images out I paper pieced them together.
After inking the balloon, I used glitter for the center.  I glued the patteren paper balloon to the front of card directly over the white die cut.  I also cut 3 clouds out of the vellum and placed 2 clouds on the front of the card in front and behind the balloon.  And I also placed one on the inside of the card.

By placing the clouds on the front and on the inside, it creates alot of depth.

Creating the folded die cut allows for writing in the card!

Welcome Sweet Baby!~ Card

Hi Paper Lovers!
Hope you enjoyed 4th of July and that it was fun and safe!  Mine was perfect, the way I wanted it, just wish it had been longer!  Today I'm sharing with you a card I made for my Design Team Sister, Glora.  She and her husband welcomed a baby boy a couple of weeks ago!  I had to make sure she received it before I posted, I wanted her to be surprised.

Some of you have been asking how I attach my burlap.  It's really simple...just plain old glue stick.  Just make sure it's white.

It's hard to see, but I popped up the onesie, giraffe, and plane.

One of my cards wouldn't be complete without a bit of glitz, so I added some diamond stickles to the propeller.

My seam binding ribbon comes smooth, however I crinkled for this card.

Fun At The Fair Blog Hop ~ First Place!

Welcome to Fun At The Fair Blog Hop, hosted by Sandra of 365 Days of Cricut!  First of all I want to thank Sandra for inviting me to join her hop!  It's been awhile since I've been in a hop that doesn't have to do with any of the design teams I'm on!  You should have arrived here from Ana Maria, if not please head over to the start at Sandra's blog, so you don't miss a thing.

I have to say that it was a little stumped on what I would do for it.  I really wanted to think out side the box, and I think I did!  Of course when I was younger I thought the fair was all about the rides and the food!  But now that I'm more wise, I know that it's  about the "contests and the food"!  So I thought it would be fun to decorate a jar of gourmet jelly and a make a card to go with it.  Just as if I had won the "first" prize for the best jelly!  (like that would ever really happen)  Hey, in the blogging world anything can happen!  :)
