MCT October Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ sweet treats!

Good mornin' it's day 1 of My Creative Time October Release Sneak Peeks! Today I get to share with you two projects using two different candy cane dies! I think you're going to love both of these!

My first project is a sweet card using the Stitched Candy Cane Background die which I used on the background panel of my card. I love how subtle it is, though you could water color it for a bold look.

For my second project I used the Sweet Candy Cane die on a tag. The background was stamped in VersaMark Ink using a Misti to make my life easier! :)

I added a bit of Glossy Accents too.

MCT February Release Sneak Peek Day 3 ~ birthday bunny!

Welcome to Day 3 of My Creative Time February Release!  Today we get to explore Favorite Bunny Stamp and Die Set.  I want you to know that this sweet bunny isn't just for Easter.  There are eight sentiments and only three are Easter related!  This makes me "hoppy"!  :)

For the background I used VersaMark ink and Wood Grainy Background Stamp.  Memento ink and Copic markers were used for the bunny.

Of course I had to add some wink of stella and glossy accents to ears, belly and tail.  Chalk and white gel pen was added to the cheeks.  As I was putting this card together, I realized that I hadn't used buttons or tried bows for a while because I was all thumbs.  :)

MCT Inspire Me Wednesday ~ by the sea!

Hi, today over at My Creative Time is "Inspire Me Wednesday".  This is where we get inspiration from non traditional places.  My card was inspired from a pillow I saw at either Pier1 or World Market, I can't remember which one I was at since they are next door to each other.  I just fell in love with the distressed look and wanted to bring it home, but I don't have a "beachy house" so at the store it stayed.

To create the "tile", I embossed with a die, then masked and ink blended.  Then I heat embossed several coats of clear embossing powder, on the last coat I sprinkled a bit of gold.  I used distress inks for the sand "ticking" and blue stripe, then sprinkled water droplet.  After it was dry, I lightly splattered distress ink for added interest.

MCT Tag It Tuesday ~ hello!

Hello paper peeps!  Today over at My Creative Time is Tag It Tuesday, so I have a sweet tag to share with you!  

While my house was in such a disastrous state this fabulous plaid set was released and this is the first time I got to play with them!  I think I've used them on three other projects to be shared later this month...yeah that's right I've been a crafting fool since I got my room put back together!  :)

I added plaid to the tag and colored the flower with copic markers, cut "hello" out three times and adhered to each other to create a thick sentiment.  Super quick and easy!

MCT November Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ life is better!

Welcome back to My Creative Time November Release Sneak Peek Day 2!  Wasn't yesterday's sneak peeks awesome!  Well we have another AWESOME day to share with you :)

Today I'm sharing "Be Your Best Selfie" stamp and die set!  Yep, it's all about the selfie, which is probably geared more towards scrapbooking.  However, I never use things what they were meant 

for, so I made a card!

I used the die cut twice, once for black and once for watercolor paper so I could inlay the 

watercolor paper inside the black frame.  I quickly gave the watercolor paper a wash of yellow, green, and blue using distress inks.

MCT What A Treat Wednesday ~ give thanks!

Happy Wednesday!  Today is my day off and I'm hoping to go hang out in my craft room.  However I have so much to do, I'm not sure if it's possible.  :/  But first I need to let you know what's going on over at My Creative Time...it's What a Treat Wednesday!

So I decided to make a Thanksgiving Treat Sleeve all decked out!

It's really hard to tell on this picture that I stamped the yellow label with a "linen" stamp using VersaMark ink.  I love using that ink for a subtle background on any color!

MCT Tag It Tuesday ~ happy birthday!

Hi, I have a cute little tag to share with you since today is Tag It Tuesday over at My Creative Time.  I  love having tags on hand for different occasions.  This way they can easily be added to a card base or hang from a gift bag for quick wrap.  :)

To create the sentiment banner, I used the banner die from Chocolate Greetings.  By partially cutting the paper, then turning the die and letting the already cut portion hang off the platform, then cutting the flat end again.

MCT July Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ love!

Hi, welcome to day 2 of  My Creative Time Time July Release Sneak Peek!  Wasn't yesterday's "sneaks" fun!!!  I am so in love with the new Stitched Sunburst Dies that I had to use it again today.  

Today I get to share with you the jar set. there are so many possibilities with the new set.  I made this card for a coworker for her bridal shower.  When you first see it you might think it's only for sympathy cards.  However I'm here to show you that it's for way more than that.  :)

I'm not sure why the colors aren't accurate, it's actually navy not black.  It's so much prettier in person.  :)

I used the Tag Layer Dies and Tag Dies to create this card, but if you know me then you know that I will change up the dies.  That's exactly what I did with the Tag Layer die.  With some creative cutting, I was able to make it thinner and shorter that the actual die is.  This created more background die to show.

MCT Throwback Thursday "Do-Over" ~ merci!
