MCT Manly Monday ~ celebrate u!

Happy Monday to U!  Today is Manly Monday over at My Creative Time!  Sometimes I have trouble creating masculine cards, so I'm always happy when I'm on the schedule for Manly Monday.  It forces me to do it :)

Now I have to admit that I had this great card planned in my head...and then I started to create it...then the crickets started chirping.  I put it all together and was NOT happy with it...boring and flat.

I just stared at it I knew it needed texture but embossing folders were out of the question since I had it all glued together.  You just can't start adding bows, buttons, and sequins to a "man" card :) 

 Then it hit me...GLOSSY ACCENTS!  It's amazing how little dots of glossy accents brought this card to life.  

If you look closely you can see where I added the slash embossing between the "u" and the footballs.  I added a "U" die to complete the "celebrate U" sentiment.

MCT What a Treat Wednesday ~ witchy poo!

Hi, today is What a Treat Wednesday over at My Creative Time!  I have a project using the new 

Mini Lollipop Holder to share with you today.  This is the cutest size, perfect if you need to make a lot of treats!

First thing I did was to heat emboss the witch, then I ink blended over the cooled heat embossed image.  I started with the lightest color mustard and ended with sapphire.  I love to ink blending!

MCT October Release Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ tea for you!

Good morning, and welcome to My Creative Time October Release Sneak Peek day 4.  Only one more day before the shopping can begin!  Today I get to share with you, You Deserve A Break.  This set is filled with warm and thoughtful sentiments.

After stamping a leaf pattern I watercolored the leaves with Stampin' Up ink.  After it was dry, I added glossy accents for a ceramic look.  Inside my card I added a tea bag.

MCT October Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ christmas shaker!

Hi today is day 1 of My Creative Time October Release Sneak Peeks!  

I had a lot of fun playing with Fun Stitched Ornaments & More.  There are 3 different ornaments with stamps to coordinate! 

To create the outline of the ornament, I used a circle die to cut out the center of the ornament.  

The actual die for the circle ornament is solid.  Don't you just love the wispy evergreens!  

I think they are so pretty!
