MCT Manly Monday ~ happy birthday!

It's Manly Monday over at My Creative Time, so today I have a "cute manly" card to share with you!  I know, cute and manly usually don't go together, however I think it works in this case.  :)

I copic colored the all the elements after I stamped with Memento Ink.  Next I cut two "waters" with the scalloped edge die.  I added the boat onto an action wobble for the boat to catch the waves.  :)   A lot of pop dots and foam tape was used to create dimension.

MCT Anything Goes ~ hello!

A BIG HELLO to you today!  Over at My Creative Time it's Anything Goes.  That's right no rules or guidelines!  I wanted to share with you a card using something you may not think could be used all year long.  I used Love is in the Air which most would think is only for Valentine's Day...but not me!

First I stamped the balloon with VersaMark Ink on kraft cardstock.  I die cut the "hello" three times and glued together.  After attaching to the kraft cardstock, I stamped the sentiment, then added glossy accents to the "hello".

MCT March Release Blog Hop ~ shower

Welcome to My Creative Time March Blog Hop!  This week has been so fun creating and sharing with you this fabbie release!  You should have arrived here from the super talented Kim's blog.  If you just popped in to see me, then you'll want to head over to the start at Emma's wonderful blog with a video to share with you.

For my project I created a favor that would be awesome for a bridal or baby shower.

To create this favor I cut two umbrellas using the large die.  Next I cut a strip of the same pattern paper about 1.5" x 4".  Then I scored length ways on both sides of the strip.  In the center of the strip I scored two more lines going the opposite direction, this created a bottom for the favor.  I used red sticky tape since it's super strong.  Lastly I added some stickles and sequins for a bit of bling.

MCT March Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ happiness!

Welcome back for day 2 of My Creative Time March Release sneak peek! My card today features the new set Showers of Happiness. When I first saw this set I immediately knew I wanted a card with a rainbow!

I used the More Circle dies to create the rainbow. I only used a portion of it so I'm able to make more with the left overs. For the umbrella, I stamped in VersaFine ink, next I added gold stickles to the open dots. Once that was dry I completely covered the umbrella with glossy accents.
This was a super easy card, however it did have a lot of drying time.

MCT March Release Sneak Peeks ~ beautiful day!

Happy Monday and welcome to My Creative Time March Release sneak peeks!  Today we are showcasing A Beautiful Day stamp and die set.  I love the sweet poppy flowers and simple butterfly.  This set has many fabbie sentiments too. :)

The first thing I did was to heat emboss the flowers with a white pearl embossing powder, then watercolored the flowers with distress inks.  After it was dry, I added a bit of wink of stella, then some sequins.  Before I attached the watercolor paper to the card base, I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum then folded it behind the watercolor piece.

MCT Whatever Wednesday~ dino-mite!

Hi paper peeps, happy Wednesday and welcome to My Creative Time Whatever Wednesday!  I have a fun card to share with you today.  This card was made for my great nephew's first birthday.

To create this card I did some ink blending with a rainbow pattern, then die cut out the numbers.  Next I inlaid the numbers (except #1) on the white paper.  The number one was popped up and covered with glossy accents.  The dinosaur was colored with copic markers and accented with glossy accents.  The sentiment strip was die cut longer than the die actually is.  For instructions google "extending your dies", there plenty of videos.
