Christmas Joy ~ Scrapping The Little Things!

Hi paper lovers, happy Monday!  Welcome to My Creative Time's Scrapping the Little Things!
I hope you enjoyed your weekend, I had a great one!  Went out to dinner with friends and scrapped my very first "Project Life" style layout!  I used a different brand that was available at Michael's to see if I would even like it.  I'm really happy with my first layout.  I had a bit of trouble with it at first...I think I was over thinking it.

We went to Disneyland the week of Thanksgiving with 5 families!  The picture of us on the Tower of Terror has 12 of us in it!  It was a great trip, it's been a while that all four of us have been on vacation together!
I still need to add some journaling, I think once I do that, my page will come alive!

I cut 3 banners from "Vintage Label Dies" then stamped them with "Have Fun in the Sun" stamp set.

Curled up the banner then added a rhinestone to one side.  After I added the pictures, I attached the banner to the outside of the protector.

I love that I can still use my cricut for this type of scrapbooking!  I cut two labels and the "joy" with it.  Did some dry embossing on the red background and the "joy"!  Then again added a button with hemp on the outside.  Love it!!!

I think I could get into this type of scrapbooking!  I like that you can also get 12x12 protectors, so you could mix and match traditional and quick and easy together!

Everyday Cricut Day 5 ~ Christmas Shadow Box!

Happy Friday!  Well, today is my last day as Guest Designer at Everyday Cricut!  Even though I knew it would have to end, it's still hard to say goodbye  :)  It's been an honor to have been asked to do this, and I want to thank Joy and Melanie for all the fun I've had this week!
Before I start to really ramble, let's get to my last project!  A few years back I made a Halloween Shadow Box.  It has been one of my most popular projects on my blog and Pinterest.  So I thought that I would create a Christmas Shadow Box similar to my original one!

I used different colored vinyl to cut the Santa, moon and "Merry Christmas"!

I used the negative part (the part you would normally throw away) of the vinyl to create the moon with glass etching!  Then placed the cut Santa on the outside of the glass.  And again the "Merry Christmas"!  It is really easy to do!

It's hard to see, but I stamp a "scroll stamp" with a darker shade of blue/gray, then on some of the scrolls I traced with Zig glue and added glitter! Yes more glitter! lol!

Once the house was in place then I added the peppermint candy to the inside of the frame!  Easy Peasy!

Everyday Cricut Day 4 ~ Christmas Card!

Hi Paper Lovers!  Wow, I can't believe that my Guest Designing week at Everyday Cricut is almost over!  :)  I've had a blast creating a variety of themes for you.  So far I've done Halloween, Birthday, Fall and now it's time for Christmas!  Again today I went with nontraditional colors.  While making this card, I thought this would be a pretty 25th anniversary card too, with a few tweaks!

After cutting all the pieces, I inked the edges.  Stamped the sentiment on the handmade banner and curled it for more pop!

I added a bit of gold stickles to the berries on the holly cut.  Then ribbon and hemp bows with a square sparkly button.  No glitter today, but still plenty of bling!  :) To see how I crinkle my seam binding ribbon, click HERE!

It's hard to see but I embossed the cream paper with an embossing folder!

Day 3 at Everyday Cricut ~ Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey Everyone, happy Wednesday!  I can't believe that I'm half way through my Guest Designing week over at Everyday Cricut!  It's just going by soo fast!  Well today I wanted to change it up with my colors!  I normally wouldn't think of aqua  and peach as fall colors, but that's what I'm doing today!  A Thanksgiving Day card with softer colors!

Wrapping the wreath with  jute adds so much texture!

I embossed the kraft leaves with Teresa Collins Cuttlebug folder.  Also adding  jute, seam binding ribbon, and a hemp bow with a button finishes this wreath.  Yes, 3 bows, a button, and of course glitter on the lacy background!  You can't expect me to not use glitter 2 days in a row!  :)

After stamping the sentiment, I curled the banner.
