MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 3 ~ snow fun!

Welcome to Day 3 of My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas!  Today I made some home decor projects using dies and stamps, along with some wood pieces from Target $1 section.

I stamped "snow balls" using white craft ink and Alpha Pack stamp set.  The snow balls were made from styrofoam balls, wall spackle, and glitter.  They are so cute in person!

For the wreath garland, I used the dies to cut the "snow fun", since I had some extra wood pieces I made the little "brr".

MCT April Release Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ enjoy the little things!

Happy Thursday my paper lovin' friends!  Today is Day 4 of My Creative Time's April Release Sneak Peeks!  How exciting we only have to wait one more day until the Blog Hop and shopping begin!!!  Hasn't this release been fun!  I'm loving the "revamped" hot air balloon...and today we are sharing the "revamped" plane...and just as fun!

I have two projects to share with you today.  This first one is the "freebie" stamp (there are some rules that apply to the "freebie" stamp).  I wanted to created something totally different...

First I painted stripes on canvas (2"x2" canvas), then I stamped the image twice on cardstock.  One I die cut out for the shape, the other I fussy cut the banner and popped it up on the full image.  Lastly I outlined the die cut with gold gel pen.

For my next card I  die cut clear cardstock to create a stencil then inked in several blue distress inks to create the "sky".  I colored the plane and banner with copic markers, and used wink of stella and glossy accents on the plane.  A few gold stars later and voila it was completed!  :)

MCT Made In Minutes ~ love!

Hellooo :), today is Made in Minutes over at My Creative Time and I have two quick projects to share with you!

When I was putting away Christmas decor I realized that my "noel" votive holders could be "love" by simply adding a "v".  So that's what I did...well sort of :)

I quickly cut two "Heart 2 Heart" dies, one in silver glitter and one in red glitter.  Then added a bit of a non permanent adhesive.  It's sort of a "v", right!

Then for my 2nd project I die cut the 3 hearts in red glitter, pink glitter and gold paper.  I then randomly sewed them together to make a banner.

MCT My Favorite Die of the Month ~ Heart!

Happy New Year, I hope 2015 is treating you well so far!

Welcome to my first My Creative Time project for 2015!  Today we are featuring another "My FAVORITE stamp OR die of the Month!  This month we are featuring one of my FAVE dies "Teeny Tag Layering Dies!".

I wanted to have a little candy holder for Valentine's Day and I already had this little "mason" jar.  I quickly painted it with acrylic paint and let dry.  Once dry, I lightly sanded the raised letters.  I stamped the top layer tag with the heart stamp and adhered to the glitter back layer tag.

Attached some lace, baker's twine and tag to jar...easy peasy...add candy and display!  How much easier could this cute candy holder be!

MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 3 ~ Sparkle!

Welcome to day 3 of My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas!  Didn't you just love all the wonderful ideas that the girls shared yesterday!  If you missed it you can click HERE to see.

Well today I have an upcycled project.  This past January, my daughter got married and we have a ton of these mock "mercury glass" votives (over a hundred) that I painted  :)
I decided that it would be fun to add a snowflake and use them on my Christmas table...not all 100 of them, lol!

I used the winter flake die, then stamped the background stamp for more interest.  Using glue dots to adhere everything to the votive.  I don't have to worry about the heat of the candles since I'm using battery operated votive.  (with the inside being painted, I didn't think it was smart to have a flame)

These are all silver, it's the reflection of the table causing it to look red.

Welcome North Pole!

Good morning peachy friends!  I recently ordered some craft items from The Scrapbooking Queen, and it had a little gift in the package.  Actually it had a big gift...several sheets of paper and such.

As soon as I saw the paper it screamed Christmas and Peachy Keen!  So I grabbed my peachy goodness and started stamping!

I wanted to decorate a wreath, however I don't have my wreath yet...I usually get one from the Boy Scouts.  That's why I have it hanging on the lantern :)

I just love the sweet faces on these images.

Just so fun and darling!!!  Oh and guess what?  This set is on special right now at Peachy Keen Stamps!  So how's that for good news!!

MCT Thrifty Thursday ~ My Hero!

Hey crafty friends, it's Thrifty Thursday at My Creative Time!  I really love this feature!  It gets me to use previously cut dies for other projects that for some reason didn't work with the original plan.

I've shown you before how I keep my extra cuts.

At the end of March my husband retired after over 31 years in law enforcement.  I thought it would be fun to make a "banner" with pictures.  Here are a couple of his last day on the job. :)
