MCT June Release Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ I ruff you!

Welcome to Day 4 of My Creative Time, June Release Sneak Peek!  Wasn't yesterday's sneaks AWESOME!  I really love what the girls did with the honeycomb and bees!!!  Well yesterday was sweet as honey and today is just dog gone ADORABLE! :)

Today we are featuring Loyal Friends, Live Love Bark & My Kids Have Paws sets.  I have two projects to share with you today, the first is a baby onesie!  I tried something new for me and wasn't even sure it would work.  After die cutting the speech bubble (which could also be used as a cloud) I stamped the sentiment then embroidered the letters.  It's not perfect, but I still think it's cute.  I did the same thing for the the sweet doggie. 

For my second project I die cut white shrinky dink plastic using Stitched XL Die then stamped with Stazon ink.  Once the ink was dry, I shrunk it down with a heat gun.  For the bone I just cut and heat shrunk it.  Easy Peasy!

I also die cut the aluminum heart and added the charm with links and a claw.  Then I added a magnet to the back.  Cute, right!

Card ~ Just A Note!

 Yippee, it's Friday!  I'm so happy it finally got here :)  I have a quick card to share with you today.

I stamped the flowers with PKS stamps, and used MCT dies to cut the felt flowers.  After adding some chunky glitter to the paper flowers, I attached them to the felt flowers.

To get that "opal" effect on the butterfly, I added stickles to the wings then when almost dry I added some glossy accents over it.

MCT Whatever Wednesday ~ Happy Spring!

Hello peeps, it's Whatever Wednesday at My Creative Time!  

That means that we can do whatever we want, so I cam up with this mini spring banner.

To create this banner, I first glued burlap to paper using basic glue stick.  After it had dried I ran it through the Big Shot and the Tag Die with a shim.  The hole for the tag didn't cut all the way through, which worked out perfectly, since I wanted the holes on the edges for the hemp to be strung through.

I stamped the sentiment on canvas, the frayed the edges a bit.  The bunnies and flowers are cut from felt and the tails are from pom pom trim.  I think the bunnies turned out so cute!

MCT Thrifty Thursday ~ HB2U!

Hi crafty friends, today is Thrifty Thursday at My Creative Time!  

That means we on the design team are suppose to use scraps, and/or reuse something to create a new project.  The only thing that's suppose to be new is the base (card or layout).

I always keep extra die cuts in this decorated mason jar that I got from a friend (Katie).  I popped the top out of the ring so it always open and just toss any die cuts that I don't end up using for a project.  Sometimes it's something I stamped that I may not be happy with the outcome...I still keep it.  Why?  Cause you never know, you just might use it.  :)

Well, this is what I pulled out of the jar...plus some scraps and my card base.

The lined paper was one of those items that I had stamped a few weeks ago but it didn't stamp evenly, so I threw it in the jar.  However for this project it didn't matter if it wasn't perfect, it added to the look.  :)
