I cut the small flower layer twice in light pink and once in dark pink...I wanted it to look "blooming".

Then I simply added the teeny butterfly and Nuvo Drops to the center of the flower.  If you need to make a lot of tags for a shower, this would be so quick and easy!

MCT 3D Wednesday ~ birthday greetings!

Hi!  Today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time! 

 I made a sweet little birthday gift bag that's perfect for any movie loving person in your life!  The great thing about Emma's dies is that they make creating fun little gifts quick and easy.

After die cutting the bag on white cardstock, I stamped the red stripes with a background stamp.  Sure I could of used pattern paper, but I didn't have a thin strip in red.

MCT April Release Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ a good book!

Welcome to Day 4 of My Creative Time April Sneak Peeks, and only one more day until the shopping begins!  Today I get to share with you a fun new set called So Many Books.  This is the perfect set for all of your "book worm" friends!

Wouldn't it be fun to give a coffee or book gift card with a sweet bookmark?  

This is the perfect "small gift" to have on hand for any occasion.

First stamp I the image with Memento Ink then I color with Copic Markers.  Added Wink of Stella to coffee mug and tulips and glossy accents to the coffee.  After die cutting the gift card pocket I ran it though a sizzix embossing folder for more detail.

MCT March Release Blog Hop ~ shower

Welcome to My Creative Time March Blog Hop!  This week has been so fun creating and sharing with you this fabbie release!  You should have arrived here from the super talented Kim's blog.  If you just popped in to see me, then you'll want to head over to the start at Emma's wonderful blog with a video to share with you.

For my project I created a favor that would be awesome for a bridal or baby shower.

 

To create this favor I cut two umbrellas using the large die.  Next I cut a strip of the same pattern paper about 1.5" x 4".  Then I scored length ways on both sides of the strip.  In the center of the strip I scored two more lines going the opposite direction, this created a bottom for the favor.  I used red sticky tape since it's super strong.  Lastly I added some stickles and sequins for a bit of bling.

MCT March Release Sneak Peeks Day 4 ~ birthday wishes!

After die cutting the Long Treat Box I stamped the plaid design using Simon Says Stamp Ink.  A small rectangle die was used to create the window.  Copic markers were used to color the chick.  I added glossy accents to the eyes and beak, and a bit a chalk and white gel pen on the cheeks.

2/1 mct 3D Wednesday ~ heart bow box!

 

Hello, today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time!  This feature has been updated from What a Treat Wednesday.  We wanted to be able to share with you all types of non card projects, so I hope you enjoy it!

I wanted to make a treat box for Valentine's Day to hold a few kisses.  

The bubblegum box is perfect for that!

I stamped the heart with versamark ink in a random pattern, then assembled the box and added the bow.  It really couldn't be easier than that.

MCT Cook-N-Craft ~ pampered!

Hi, I hope you had a Happy New Year and a wonderful holiday season!  I'm not really into New Year's resolutions, I'm more into trying to live the next day better than the last.  It's not always perfect, but I try not to stress since tomorrow is another day!  Hopefully! :)  However even though I just said that since it's the start of a new year we at My Creative Time are making some changes...and we hope you like them!

Today we are adding a new segment called Cook-N-Craft, each month we will be a sharing a recipe with you.  When I'm crafting all day (little secret...sometimes I make all my projects for the scheduled month in one day) I try to make something in the crock pot or takes time on the stove.  When it's cold I usually make a soup.

For today's project, I die cut two hearts with wool felt and stitched together with thick thread.  I added a few trinkets from the dollar store a gift card and a mini nail polish.  When giving a gift card it really doesn't take long to add a few details to make it more personal.

Chicken Taco Soup

4 chicken breast

1 lg can diced tomatoes with chilies

1 can sliced olives (drained)

1 can corn

1 pkt taco seasoning

1 pkt ranch dressing

2-4 cups of water depending on how thick/thin you like

I did this soup on the stove, but you can easily do it in a crock pot.

Cook chicken then chop or shred depending on preference.  Once chicken is cooked add both seasoning packets.  Next add remaining ingredients.  Stir.  Last add water, 1 cup at a time until you get the consistency desired.  I tend to add more since the chips soak up the juice.

Garnish with cheese, avocado, tortilla chips, and sour cream, or whatever you preferred.

MCT 5 Days of Christmas ~ reindeer!

GOOD MORNING my friends! Today is Day 2 of My Creative Time 5 Days of Christmas. This week my Design Team Sisters at My Creative Time are working on a treat this week for our “5 Day s of Christmas”. You will see tons of AMAZING ideas from tags, treats, cards, gift card holders, etc.... to get your holidays off to a “crafty” good start! We all hope you enjoy everything you will see this week!   

Today's project is a fun ornament that could be made by a group of kids.

This reindeer ornament took hardly anytime at all to make.

I used the circle die to cut out the spots for the candy canes.  This was truly the hardest part of this project.  :)

MCT 5 Days of Christmas ~ a gift for you!

GOOD MORNING my friends! Today is Day 4 of My Creative Time 5 Days of Christmas. This week my Design Team Sisters at My Creative Time are working on a treat this week for our “5 Day s of Christmas”. To create this swing card I cut one base in Charcoal cardstock, then cut half of the "pop out" card with pattern paper and glued together.  Then just add the gift card pocket to the back and decorate the front of the swinging portion of the card.  I also stamped the "words" stamp in VersaMark ink.
