For today's project I have a video for you.  I've had some requests on how I tie my bows and how I make my hemp into loops.  And for those of you that are new to EAD's stickerz, I show you how easy they are to use.  Especially if you stick them in the wrong place!!!

Love Is In The Air ~ Card!

Happy Friday!  I just have a quick card to share with you.  Do you ever need to make a last minute card?  Well I did last night!  All I could think of was, "what cartridge was I going to use?"  Well guess what!  I didn't use my cricut...I used My Creative Time Dies and Stamps.  Easy Peasy!

I inked the edges of the flowers before rolling. Then I glittered the edges and added a pearl bead.  I attached the flowers over hemp bows.

paper: Papertrey Ink, American Craft
glitter, ink, pearl beads
stampin up punch

Cherish This Moment Mini Album!

Hi Paper Peeps!  Today I want to share a project that was from a class that I signed up for but couldn't go to.  This was a Teresa Collins class that she was teaching, so I was terribly disappointed that I was unable to stay.  However, I was able to go pick up my kit and say hi to her.  This past weekend I finally was able to put it together.  I'm filling this album with pictures of a cruise I took last year.  Since I didn't have all my pictures in, I only took a picture of the cover.

When I went to put it together I had remembered from another class I took with Teresa, that she brings her stamps for the attendees to use.  So now what?  That is such a silly question!!!  I all I had to do was pull out my My Creative Time Stamps!  Voila!  Even though this was a kit, it's now "my own"!!!

I did some "masking" with the clock and the word stamp.

Paper: Teresa Collins ~ World Traveler Kit

lot's of bling stuff too!

Oh Happy Friday Paper Lovers!

I am SOOO glad it's Friday!  How about you?   We've had a bit of a cool spell this past week.  Only in the 80's, however, this weekend it's suppose to get HOT again!  Thank goodness our pool will back in working order tomorrow.  We unexpectedly had to have some major work done :(   I'll post some before and after pictures next week.  I'm hoping that with this remodel, I'll be using it more frequently!

Now that I've bored you with my stuff, I have a special treat for you.  My Creative Time is having a Customer Appreciation Sale!  So be sure to use the code "THANKU" to get 20% off your entire purchase.  Emma just wanted to say thank you for all the prayers and well wishes for her son and family!

Happy Birthday Masculine Card!

Hi Paper Lovers,

Happy Wednesday to you!  Do you ever have one of the those crafting days where your project doesn't seem to come together.  Well that's what happened to me.  I made this card for my dad's birthday next month, and I'm so glad that I made it early so I have time to fix it :)

The only reason I'm showing it to you, so you can see everyone has mess ups.  I really like the concept of the card, it's just became a mess!

I used a distressing tool on the background paper.  After I glued the ship together I added some silver liquid pearls.  That's when things started to go wrong.  I couldn't get them even and smeared some on the brown, so I tried to cover it with copics.  I think I can recut the brown to fix it.

Next problem...oops...I dropped the stamp!  I will be adding another piece of paper on the inside to cover it and restamp the sentiment.

recipe:
Pop Up Neighborhood Cricut Cartridge
label cut at 3.81 x 3.35
label cut at 4.21 x 3.71
Wrap It Up Cricut Cartridge
ship cut at 3.43x 2.57

Forks and Spoons ~ Home Decor!

Hi Everyone!  Can you believe we are about half way through the summer?  It's just flying by for me!  I hope you're enjoying your long summer days!

Yesterday I mentioned that I've been getting some things done around my house.  Not all the projects have been fix it, some have been just for fun.  Like today's project...this is a fun project that I saw on Pinterest.  I'm totally addicted to Pinterest!

This is what I had in my kitchen before my new cute project...

These were cute, but a bit too country for me now.  I'm saving the frames for another project for later.  :)

I picked up some $3 frames at Walmart

I had some odd and ends of forks and spoons that belonged to my husband's grandmother.  I sprayed them with a white satin spray paint.

I sprayed the frames with the same paint.  Once everything was dry, I lightly stained the frame and the silverware.  Then I covered the glass from the frames with burlap. (imagine that, me using burlap! lol!)  Next I glued the silverware randomly onto the burlap.  And voila a cute home decor project!

Have a beautiful day!

Enjoy!

My Creative Time Guest Designer~Friday Tip of the Day

Hi Paper Lovers!  I'm thrilled to pieces to be a Guest Designer for My Creative Time again.  Especially since now that we know Emma's son Aaron is on the mend and getting stronger everyday!

Since Emma usually has her Friday Tip of the Day, I'm going to give a little tip.  For today's project I wanted to create a card using clear cardstock.  I have noticed that when trying to cut clear cardstock it doesn't alway cut all the way through.  Could be because my blade needs to be replaced.  But I have a simple fix, just cut it out twice, using multi cut function.  Now I know this seems like a no brainer, however, sometimes even those that are experienced forget the simple stuff!  :)

First thing I did was to fold in half thin white cardstock.  Then I placed the hot air balloon die so the fold of the paper was just below the top cut line.  Yes it will make the balloon flat on the top.  This cut was glued inside the card.  Then I stamped two balloons, one out of the blue and one out of the red.  After cutting both images out I paper pieced them together.
After inking the balloon, I used glitter for the center.  I glued the patteren paper balloon to the front of card directly over the white die cut.  I also cut 3 clouds out of the vellum and placed 2 clouds on the front of the card in front and behind the balloon.  And I also placed one on the inside of the card.

By placing the clouds on the front and on the inside, it creates alot of depth.

Creating the folded die cut allows for writing in the card!
