MCT Tag-it Tuesday ~ You're Just My Type!

Hi Everyone and welcome to My Creative Time"Tag-it Tuesday"!  This is a new feature at MCT, where we are to create a tag.  This week's assignment was to go with any theme.  Now you would think that with "any theme" I would be able to follow the rules...but, nooooo!  I couldn't just stay with a tag, I had to make a tag card!  That's right a TAG CARD!  hehehe

In order to make it a card, you need to start with a thin piece of cardstock (papertry ink cardstock will not work for this).  Tri fold it back and forth at two places.  Just make sure that the center section is narrower than the die (otherwise the die will cut it and you'll have 3 tags...no bueno).  When you run it through the cutter, again make sure the center section is lined up not to be cut on either side of the die.  I hope this make sense.  :)  Then cut one tag all by itself from a pattern paper and attach to the front tag.  That will give it more stability.

The center section tag is slightly narrower than the end tags, but it's all one piece of cardstock.

I created a pocket on the front to slip in another dag, for more "love notes".

The stickle hearts were stamped first then I added stickles for more sparkle!  Plus I added glossy accents to all of the small die hearts and the "xoxo".  Gotta love glossy accents!  :)

Recipe:
Tag Dies (tag base)
Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO ( medium heart, small heart, and xoxo die)
Once Upon A Time Stamp Set ( typewriter and small sentiments)
You're So Cool Stamp Set(tiny heart stamp)

Extras
thin cardstock
Carte Bella pattern paper
jute
bakers twine
button
glossy accents
stickles
Mementos ink
Stampin' Up ink
paperclips
Provo Craft embossing folder

Peachy Keen Guest Designer ~ You are outta this world!

Hi Everyone, today is my last post as Peachy Keen's May Guest Designer!  I just can't believe how fast this month has gone by!  I had so much fun creating and "peachyfying" all of my projects!  I want to thank Peachy Keen for asking me to be a guest designer and making me feel so welcome!

For my last project I wanted to share a layered tag.  Tags can be so versatile since they can stand alone or be added to a card base.  I used PKSC 14 February and colored them with my copic markers.

For the moon, I used copic markers then added some Distress Stickles to create dimension and slight sparkle.

3D Wednesday ~ Hello Spring!

Hello Paper Lovers!  Welcome to My Creative Time's 3D Wednesday!  Let first start off and say...I'm SOOOO SORRY for not posting my normal 3 times a week!  My life is a bit crazy right now and will stay this way until about mid May!  So I hope you will be patient with me until then...I know I sound like a broken record.  :)

OK, enough of me, now on to my project...today I wanted to come up with a home decor project.  I found this sweet little bird house at Michael's awhile back and thought they would be darling covered with some beautiful paper!  Yep! I think I was right!  Now if I had really been thinking ahead I could have made a bunch of these as place setting cards for Easter! Just stamping the name on the tag.  Wouldn't that have been over the top cute!

All I did was paint the house, cover the roof with paper, added bows, button, and a tag.  A little bit of kraft shred and birdie for more details!  It was really quick and easy!

Today's project is a little goodie bag made from a 4" burlap "ribbon".  I cut a piece about 10-12" long, folded in half and then the edges down, sewing down each side to create a pocket.

Red hemp makes the Stitched Button Die pop!

I really love the mix of glitter on the butterfly and the rustic burlap!

The "chrome paper" jar top was a gift from a friend...I just love it!!!

More Chalk Board Art ~ Card!

Hi all, happy Thursday!  I thought this week I would finally be able to get back in the routine and post at least three days a week.  However, life is still a bit crazy from the holidays and my daughter leaving for college.  Yesterday I forced  myself to take time to craft.  I'm so glad I did...it just makes me happy!

I'm so addicted to chalkboards!  I thought this was a new obsession, but then I realized that I've always loved them.  When "country" decor was so popular, I had tons of them!

Don't you love how you can mix and match My Creative Time Stamps and Dies with Cricut cuts!

For the felt heart, I used the center heart of the new My Creative Time Scallop Stitched Heart Die.  For the buttons, I doubled them up and added thin turquoise hemp.

Did some zigzag sewing, added some cream jute and a Cricut cut heart boarder!  I love how everything came together!  Here's a video showing how to achieve the "chalkboard" look from another project.

End of Year Reflection ~ part 1!

Hi my friends!  I'm sorry I've been a bit quiet lately, I've been working more hours than normal.  And with Christmas just around the corner, I just haven't been crafting that much.  I plan on working on some new projects this weekend, however until then I wanted to show you my favorite cards from this past year!

This coming year is going to be about my family and spending quality time with those I love!  This isn't a New Year's Resolution just how I'm going to live my life!
I'll be back with some more of my favorite layouts and 3D projects!

I also have a little secret...there is going to be one last My Creative Time release before the end of the year!  I hope Miss Emma won't be upset that I told you!

Enjoy!
