Enjoy!

Hi, today is a birthday celebration for Kathy at Peachy Keen Stamps!  Many of us have created cards for her posted in The Peachy Place, Facebook group.  So head over there to see them all!

If you aren't a member all you have to do is ask!

It's hard to see in the picture, however I created some bead board for the lower half of the wall.  For the floor, I clear embossed, then used TH distress ink, which made the embossing POP!  Like all old linoleum it has some worn spots :)

Then I needed some retro wallpaper to go with that lino floor!  This totally reminds me of home I lived in when I was growing up. lol

Copic Markers

With the holidays approaching and my youngest daughter is home from  college (she hadn't been home since last Christmas)  I'm not sure how much posting I will be doing.  So if I don't get a chance to say it...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

MCT Tag It Tuesday ~ Winter Wishes!

Hi Ya!   Today is Tag It Tuesday over at My Creative Time!  Can you believe it's almost Christmas?!  It feels like it was just summer!  Well probably since it was still 80 degrees just a few weeks ago.  hehehe  Well I better get on it and get my stuff done, ready or not it's gonna happen!

Recently I saw a wintery tag made with clear cardstock and thought it was just beautiful!  I had never thought of using clear cardstock for a tag.  I think this be so pretty on a card base.

During our last release I had created stencils with clear cardstock using the tree die and fun edge dies.  By making them out of the acetate, I can use them over and over again.
To create the snow, I first painted cream acrylic, then while still wet I added the clear glitter.  Once that was dry I added moulding paste for the tree.  After that was dry, I lightly brushed gold perfect pearl powder on the tree tips.  It's hard to see in the picture :/

MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 4 ~ Stockings!

Welcome to day 4 of My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas! As I mentioned yesterday, my daughter got married this year so we needed to add another stocking for my son-in-law.  However, being the completely sane person I am (hehehe), I have to have them all coordinate!  So we all got new stockings!  I had made our previous stockings years ago, and had been wanting to change them.  Apparently I upset the married daughter when I told her new stockings were coming our way...now I'm a bit afraid to hear what the other daughter is going to say when she sees them.  I also wanted to change our tree up this year and my dear hubby said "why even put up the tree at all if you aren't sticking with tradition" under his breath.  I had no idea I was going to ruffle this many feathers!  lol!

Well I did pick up some stockings at Kirklands for a reasonable price, but I couldn't let
them be, so I semi personalized them with tags.  This was quick, easy, and inexpensive since it appears that I might have to change them again next year.  I'll wait to see what the peanut gallery has to say :)

MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 3 ~ Sparkle!

Welcome to day 3 of My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas!  Didn't you just love all the wonderful ideas that the girls shared yesterday!  If you missed it you can click HERE to see.

Well today I have an upcycled project.  This past January, my daughter got married and we have a ton of these mock "mercury glass" votives (over a hundred) that I painted  :)
I decided that it would be fun to add a snowflake and use them on my Christmas table...not all 100 of them, lol!

I used the winter flake die, then stamped the background stamp for more interest.  Using glue dots to adhere everything to the votive.  I don't have to worry about the heat of the candles since I'm using battery operated votive.  (with the inside being painted, I didn't think it was smart to have a flame)

These are all silver, it's the reflection of the table causing it to look red.

MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 2 ~ Believe!

Welcome to Day 2 of My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas!  We are sharing ideas to help you create a Handmade Christmas.  Whether it be for a gift or a decor item, you'll be able to find it here!

Today my project I've made is a silverware holder for my Christmas table.  Super quick and easy the kids could make these in an afternoon.

Isn't this a fun idea!  This was made using the envelope die and a few scraps for Santa's outfit.

PKS Face Day ~ Believe!

Good Morning!
Today is my day to share a Peachy Keen Face project with you over at

I've been wanting to make one of these pop up cards for a while now.  I had one in my svg stash but it was birthday themed.  I made some minor adjustments and added the Santa and snowflakes from Miss Kate Cuttables.

The snowflake faces are PKS-482 Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.  The sweet Santa face is a PKS-480 Christmas Character Face Assortment.  To dress it up I added the flowers, holly, and stars are from the lastest release PKS-1442 Cowboy Christmas and PK-1440 Maxwell and Barrett.

This card was really fun and easy to make, and adding the Peachy faces made it come to life!
