MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 4 ~ Stockings!

Welcome to day 4 of My Creative Time's 5 Days of Christmas! As I mentioned yesterday, my daughter got married this year so we needed to add another stocking for my son-in-law.  However, being the completely sane person I am (hehehe), I have to have them all coordinate!  So we all got new stockings!  I had made our previous stockings years ago, and had been wanting to change them.  Apparently I upset the married daughter when I told her new stockings were coming our way...now I'm a bit afraid to hear what the other daughter is going to say when she sees them.  I also wanted to change our tree up this year and my dear hubby said "why even put up the tree at all if you aren't sticking with tradition" under his breath.  I had no idea I was going to ruffle this many feathers!  lol!

Well I did pick up some stockings at Kirklands for a reasonable price, but I couldn't let
them be, so I semi personalized them with tags.  This was quick, easy, and inexpensive since it appears that I might have to change them again next year.  I'll wait to see what the peanut gallery has to say :)

I enjoyed reading your post about the peanut gallery. hahaha You just can't please everybody all the time, huh? I for one love your Hobby Lobby stockings and think the tag idea with initials is perfect! We are going to need an update next year about what you decide to do with stockings. You can't leave us 'hanging' like this!

Fun times!! Good to know our children aren't the only ones who appreciate tradition! When I said I wasn't putting up a tree last year since we wouldn't be home...our daughter and her family dropped over ON A SCHOOL NIGHT and brought us a tree!!!

Super cute stockings Liz! The little tags are so sweet and match up perfectly! Ya, some people are just not into change...and just takes a bit for them to come around. I made some changes to our holiday tradition along with a new tree and my family had some things to say to, lol! Funny how that goes!
Have a great day and thanks for sharing!

Liz ~ First off I ADORE this idea! I mean what a GREAT way to personalize the stocking but by using MCT products!
Second ` I am sitting here almost peeing my pants ~ I mean how DARE you change things on everyone! OMG ~ I would be in your shoes with the 9 year old who lives here! Bahahahaha
Third ~ hmmmmm you might have to change things for next year??? Is this a hint for something or are we still talking about the "never" change anything peeps...hmmmm

Some days you can't win for losing. I would have thought they would have wanted everybody to be alike - rather than the later-comers being different. Oh, well.

Wow Liz, you sure are ruffling some feathers there! You'd better be careful about that, Santa might not bring you everything you want if you continue to ruffle feathers. lol I do love your stockings and I love the little labels on them, that is just so much cuter than the glittered name. Hugs, Brenda

Some people like changing things and some like the same and love seeing the familiar loved items. I hope things calm down for you all...change can be rather upsetting. The stockings do look cute with the sweet little tags. Cute idea.
