MCT 3D Wednesday ~ mini album!

Hi everyone!  I hope your week is going GREAT!  The last few weeks I've been getting so much done around my home, cleaning out closets and such.  I'm either way behind my spring cleaning or WAY ahead of the game!  :)  Even though I've been working around the house I took a little time out to craft and even did some organizing of my dies.  My friend Katie gave me the inspiration to make the change.  I was looking for her post but couldn't find it :/

Now I need to get on to why you came to visit me.  Today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time!  For my project I decided to make a "matchbook" mini album.  I used the Trifold Card and the Stitched Folder to created this little book.

I stapled all the folders together into the card.

For the camera die, I used double sided patter paper then simply turned over the inside piece to create the different paper for the lens and view finder.

I left the top of the frame without adhesive to allow for a picture to slide in.

To create the vellum pocket I cut two folders and cut it in half.

Then I used some thick hemp and a brad for a closure.

My Guest Designer Week at Everyday Cricut ~ Mini Album!

It's happy Monday here at my blog and I'm over the "Halloween Moon" today!  Why you ask?  I have been asked to be a Guest Designer all week over at Everyday Cricut!  This is beyond cool!

Of course I had to come up with some fun projects this week, I hope you think they are too!  For today's project  I wanted to create a fun Halloween Mini Album!  I don't make them very often, but I think that's about to change...this was so much fun to make!
To create my album pages, I used cereal boxes.  I love the idea of up cycling!

I stitched a bit on the cover and popped up the scary cat!

If you didn't know, I tend to think that my projects aren't complete without a bit of glitter!  So I glittered the ghost! :)

After cutting the banner, I stamped it with the "boo" and more glitter on this ghost! :)
Yes, the skull is glittered! lol

The black frame was embossed with Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder

I used a stamp to create the "pattern" paper too.

Lastly I added ribbon on the ring for some added fun!

Mini Album ~ Boot Camp!

Hi Paper Lovers!  Happy Wednesday!!!
Today I have a mini album to share with you that I made for my nephew.  You see last week he finished basic training with the Army!  I couldn't be more proud of him!  My youngest daughter was able to make the trip to Georgia, along with his family to see his graduation.  Maybe this isn't new, but each unit has their own Facebook page, and they would post and tag different soldiers.  So we got to sort of watch his training!  So I just pulled the pictures from Facebook, quickly put this together, and she was able to bring it with her.
It's amazing how with two of My Creative Time Stamp Sets, I was able to complete this in a small amount of time!!!

For the most part I used My Creative Time's newest stamp and die set call "Just Simply Live"!

Who would of thought that these sentiments could be used for military pictures!!!

I also used "Happy Homecoming" stamp set.

Yep, that's right, he decided to be a lifer!!!

I have to say it was very liberating to just let go and not worry so much about design and just "smash" it together!!!  And using the newest set from My Creative Time made is simple and fun!!!!

I'll be back on Friday with a fun "candy card"!

Enjoy!
