Wedding Banner and First Anniversary Winner!

Hi Everyone,  It's 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time today!  I wasn't on the schedule however I wanted to share a banner that I made for my nephew's new bride for her Wedding Shower!  We called it a Wedding Shower, since they got married at the court house and didn't have a real reception or any showers before the ceremony.

I'm so sorry for the pictures being so dark...I lightened them up as much as I could.  Now really don't fall off your chair...I used my Cricut twice in two weeks!

I also used My Creative Time stamps and dies.  The hearts, tags and keys are all dies (at each end and in between the words), I stamped "celebrate" and "love" on each of the tags.

One my AMAZING friends baked all of these wonderful desserts!  Of course there weren't any left over!  :(
Oh and she made that FABULOUS floral arrangement too!

Christmas Joy ~ Scrapping The Little Things!

Hi paper lovers, happy Monday!  Welcome to My Creative Time's Scrapping the Little Things!
I hope you enjoyed your weekend, I had a great one!  Went out to dinner with friends and scrapped my very first "Project Life" style layout!  I used a different brand that was available at Michael's to see if I would even like it.  I'm really happy with my first layout.  I had a bit of trouble with it at first...I think I was over thinking it.

We went to Disneyland the week of Thanksgiving with 5 families!  The picture of us on the Tower of Terror has 12 of us in it!  It was a great trip, it's been a while that all four of us have been on vacation together!
I still need to add some journaling, I think once I do that, my page will come alive!

I cut 3 banners from "Vintage Label Dies" then stamped them with "Have Fun in the Sun" stamp set.

Curled up the banner then added a rhinestone to one side.  After I added the pictures, I attached the banner to the outside of the protector.

I love that I can still use my cricut for this type of scrapbooking!  I cut two labels and the "joy" with it.  Did some dry embossing on the red background and the "joy"!  Then again added a button with hemp on the outside.  Love it!!!

I think I could get into this type of scrapbooking!  I like that you can also get 12x12 protectors, so you could mix and match traditional and quick and easy together!

More Chalk Board Art ~ Card!

Hi all, happy Thursday!  I thought this week I would finally be able to get back in the routine and post at least three days a week.  However, life is still a bit crazy from the holidays and my daughter leaving for college.  Yesterday I forced  myself to take time to craft.  I'm so glad I did...it just makes me happy!

I'm so addicted to chalkboards!  I thought this was a new obsession, but then I realized that I've always loved them.  When "country" decor was so popular, I had tons of them!

Don't you love how you can mix and match My Creative Time Stamps and Dies with Cricut cuts!

For the felt heart, I used the center heart of the new My Creative Time Scallop Stitched Heart Die.  For the buttons, I doubled them up and added thin turquoise hemp.

Did some zigzag sewing, added some cream jute and a Cricut cut heart boarder!  I love how everything came together!  Here's a video showing how to achieve the "chalkboard" look from another project.

Happy Birthday ~ Card!

Hello my crafty friends!  First of all to my east coast friends, I hope you've weathered the storm and are safe!  As crazy as it sounds, here in California it was mid 70's.  I can't believe it's the end of October with this warm weather!
Today I wanted to share a card I made for a "new to me " challenge blog, Deconstructed Sketch No. 75.  If you've been living under a rock as I have, go check out her great sketches!

It's hard to see, but I stamped the chicken wire background on a small border attached under the jute.

Featured Designer ~ Queen Bee Card!

Happy Friday my crafty friends!   I'm so excited that I get to be a Featured Designer for Jinger Adams and her new craft line again!

The awesome thing about Jinger's new line is that she has premade card bases!  I started this card with a flip card base.

I used gold embossing powder on the the little "dot" stamp.  Cut a gold crown with my Cricut, then added a bit of hemp and a small flower, on the stamped "queen" banner.  Lastly I added some of the most beautiful trim from Jinger's line on the side!  Of course I used Jinger's fabulous die cuts and paper from her Gypsy Queen collection to complete my card!

For the flip side I used another die cut and another stamped sentiment with some rhinestones!

My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday Challenge!

Hello Everyone!!! I will be posting two times today so make sure you see both of them!
It's time for another My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge!  This time we're doing things a bit different, it's color and cartridge challenge!  All you have to do is use the colors in the picture of the owls and  ANY Older Cartridge of YOUR choice!  Easy Peasy!
I needed to make a card for one of my daughter's friend that's getting married this weekend.  At first I thought it would be hard to make a wedding card with those colors.  However I had just got a bunch of paper from a friend who scored a huge find at Tuesday Morning!  And lo and behold there were the colors I needed!

That is brown brown, it just looks like black in the picture!

To make the ribbon ruffled, I ran ATG tape where I wanted the ribbbon, then just pushed the ribbon where I wanted it to stick.

The pearls on the flags, seam binding ribbon, and the little clear button are from my Boutique!

Recipe:
Sweetheats Cricut Cartridge
cake cut at 1.82 x 3.00 and layers to match
Sophisticated Cricut Cartridge
flags cut at 1.12 x 1.35

glitter, ink
