MCT What a Treat Wednesday ~ it's a bridal shower!

Good morning today is What a Treat Wednesday over at My Creative Time and I have a quick project to share with you today that doesn't look quick and makes the receivers ooh and awe over. :)  First I have to give you the background story...you may remember that we had a flood in our home on Christmas Eve which took out almost our whole house.  It took us 4 months to complete and left our kitchen looking really shabby after everything else was brand new.  So I decided to revamp/update the kitchen with new appliances, however I also planned to give my friend's daughter a bridal shower.  Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment :)  I really didn't plan this right...all I have is a cook top!  How can I give a shower without an oven or microwave?  Well easy...an Ice Cream Bar and Rice Crispy Treats for a favor.  The treats took about an hour to make 25 or so, I was happy with that!  Now how was I going to package them?  Easy with MCT stamps and Dies.

After die cutting the labels I took 4 acrylic blocks and positioned the stamps how I wanted them for each color.  So for blue I did the "k&e", and so on for each color.  I only had to stamp each label 4 times, once for each color.  I did have to spend some time getting the stamps positioned so the flower centers were place correctly, however just once.  To do all 25, including die cutting was about 1 1/2 hours.  I think that's really quick.

I added some MCT rosettes to the flower arrangements.

MCT July Release Sneak Peek Day 3 ~ Hello!

Well we are half way through My Creative Time's July Release Sneak Peeks!  Today we are featuring the
Alpha Pack Stamp set & Trio Stitched Banner dies!
There are three different size banners that  you will fall in love with!  You can make them flat like I did with this card or have them popped high on your page!  Just too fun!

To create this card I first taped off a boarder with washi tape,. Using Tim Holtz Distress ink I made a water color wash for the background.  Once it was dry I added the fussy cut water color flowers and leaves.  Then followed it up with the heat embossed "hello" banner using the new Alpha Pack stamps.

A few fuchsia rhinestones adds a touch of bling :)

MCT July Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ Rain or Shine!

What a way to start off a Monday with a new release sneak peek from My Creative Time!  You are going to LOOOVE the new stamps and dies Miss Emma has designed!  They are the perfect addition to all of her previous releases.

This card was created using washi tape and the new Grainy Wood Background stamp.  I tape off the rectangles then used ink and water to create the water color background.

I did the same thing for the flowers.

For my second card I stamped the Fun Letter Background stamp with VersaMark then used embossing powder to make the background pop.

Then I layered stamped dies for the focal point.  Quick, easy and lot's of impact! :)

Papertrey Ink Card Stock
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Glossy Accents
Stickles
Memento Ink

MCT Made In Minutes ~ It's Your Day!

Hi Everyone, happy Monday and welcome to Made In Minutes with My Creative Time!  This is my first time on the schedule for it, and I can already tell...I love this new feature!  We were instructed to create a project that would only take 15-20 minutes.  I love clean and simple cards, however I tend to find them difficult to do.  With the time limit being what it is, there isn't room for being indecisive about anything...paper choices, dies, stamps, composition, etc...

Well this is what I came up with!  Yes it's simple, but I think I'm going to make a bunch of these and have them with different tickets for different occasions.  That way I will always have a card ready, instead of always trying to create a card for the need.

I simply adhered and tore three strips of washi tape, then added my stamped die cuts.  Since I always need a bit of bling, I couldn't let even a CAS go untouched.  :)  I know this isn't the most original, however I hope it inspires you to create a "made in minutes" card!  :)
