MCT's Scrapping the Little Things ~ elevate the everyday!

Hi everyone, welcome to My Creative Time's Scrapping the Little Things!  Today I wanted to share with you some "Project Life" style cards that I made for a class I'm taking over at bigpictureclasses.com.  It's about taking the everyday things in life and having joy in them.  Taking pictures of the mundane really gives it a different perspective!

I paper pieced the balloon, I really don't know what happened with my stamping.  It's just bad!  I was going to do another one, but then I realized that, this is sometimes what happens.  So I made the decision to leave it!  I'm not always perfect in my crafting, my picture taking, my life...do I really need to go on...lol!  I think this is what is called life and I just need to enjoy it!

recipe:

Thoughtful Thursday ~Thinking of You!

Good morning my crafty friends!  Today is Thoughtful Thursday over at My Creative Time!  I love when I'm on the schedule for this since I never have enough "thinking of you" cards.  Nor do I ever have enough cards that can be used for men.

Now you are probably thinking...this card has a teddy bear on it, how could this be a "man" card?  Well I think even "manboys" :) like teddy bears!  hehehe

Sometimes I find it amusing that a card in person looks really great, however in pictures it doesn't always translate...that's what I think happened here.  In these pictures the blue and white polka dots is a bit harsh on the eyes, but not in person.  So weird!

To make the "hi" banners I cut one "banner" die from Vintage Stitched Label Die and cut it in half.  After stamping the letters I glued it to the Stitched Capture Frame with Arrow Die then re cut it with the Stitched Capture Frame with Arrow Die to create the stitched lines on the banners.

For the bear heart I colored with copics then added a tiny bit of glossy accents.

Scrapping The Little Things ~ A Neutral Halloween!

Good Morning!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  My weekend was full of family activities,  you see my oldest nephew was married this past Saturday!  I was able to spend time with family from out of town, that was truly special!  The wedding was gorgeous, however it was extremely hot!!!  We haven't really had a hot summer, in fact it's been a rather cool one...until Saturday that is!  :)

Enough of me, let me get on to my project...Today is Scrapping The Little Things at My Creative Time.  I decided to make some Halloween "project life" style cards.  They certainly aren't you're traditional Halloween with the color palette I chose.  This was on purpose since I didn't know what pictures I'm using for them yet.  Keeping them neutral will make it easy to use any pictures!

I used the Chevron Stripes and embossed them with white powder.  For the jars,
I stamped the bats and spiders on the back of the vellum.  Then I added fine black glitter to the
 star burst.

Again I purposely kept these simple until I'm ready to use them.  Then if I want, I can still stamp journaling lines if I think I need them.

recipe:

Extras
Chrome paper
Vellum
Kraft Cardstock
White Cardstock

Have a beautiful week!

Tag It Tuesday ~ Monogram Gift Tags!

Happy Tuesday all my paper lovin' friends!  I hope you had a wonder full Labor Day weekend!  I spent the day (over 4 hours) on facetime with my daughter going over wedding plans.  We got SOOO MUCH done!  However since I'm a bit brain dead,  I'm going to keep it this short so you have time to look at everyone's blog today!

It's Tag it Tuesday over at My Creative Time!  We were asked  to make a set of 4 tags for any occasion.  I chose to make monogram tags for Christmas!  How cute is that!!!

After stamping the image in the Vintage Label die, I attached it to the Tag Dies then ran it through the Big Shot with the Tag Dies again.  By doing that it created the stitching on the side of the Vintage Label Die.

A little white embossing on the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die gave a bit more texture.
