It's Halloween All Over Again and a Giveaway!

Hi Everyone, happy Wednesday and Happy Halloween!  No I haven't lost my mind!!  I know Halloween is over, but I wanted to share some pictures with you!  A few months ago I received a request to make and sell one of my previous projects, she told me she wasn't very crafty.  I've never done this before, however I decided to go ahead and do it.  Well last week Linda sent me pictures of her decorated home!  I was so blown away I asked  her permission to share them with you!!  She may not be crafty, but she has AMAZING style and taste!!!

Can you see what I made?  Yes it's the Trick or Treat Shadow Box!  This is one of my most popular posts and my most "pinned" too!

Love the fun hanging stockings!  Never would have thought of that for Halloween!

Her tree is just a wonderful treat!

Oh my goodness I want a skeleton for my table now!!!!

Just so know, I won't be making anymore of these shadow boxes to sell.  For instructions to create your own click HERE.

Thank you Linda for letting me share your beautiful home with my followers!

Everyday Cricut Day 5 ~ Christmas Shadow Box!

Happy Friday!  Well, today is my last day as Guest Designer at Everyday Cricut!  Even though I knew it would have to end, it's still hard to say goodbye  :)  It's been an honor to have been asked to do this, and I want to thank Joy and Melanie for all the fun I've had this week!
Before I start to really ramble, let's get to my last project!  A few years back I made a Halloween Shadow Box.  It has been one of my most popular projects on my blog and Pinterest.  So I thought that I would create a Christmas Shadow Box similar to my original one!

I used different colored vinyl to cut the Santa, moon and "Merry Christmas"!

I used the negative part (the part you would normally throw away) of the vinyl to create the moon with glass etching!  Then placed the cut Santa on the outside of the glass.  And again the "Merry Christmas"!  It is really easy to do!

It's hard to see, but I stamp a "scroll stamp" with a darker shade of blue/gray, then on some of the scrolls I traced with Zig glue and added glitter! Yes more glitter! lol!

Once the house was in place then I added the peppermint candy to the inside of the frame!  Easy Peasy!
Recipe:
 Holiday Cake Cricut Cartridge
moon cut at 2.06 x 1.98
Christmas Cricut Cartridge
house cut at 8.33 x 6.88 layers to match
lamp post cut at .44 x 1.83 layers to match
Teresa Collins December 25th Cricut Cartridge
Merry Christmas cut at 6.72 x 3.47
Santa cut at 3.90 x 1.71
EAD Designs ~ Cream and Black vinyl
paper: American Craft
12x12 scrapbook frame (hobby lobby)
scroll stamp, glitter, ink, peppermints, glass etching

Now for my giveaway!  All you have to is leave a comment here and on Everyday Cricut with your contact info!  I will pick one winner for Limited Edition Metallic Hemp on Saturday, October 20 and announce it on my blog!

I will be back for a second post today!  A Halloween Blog Hop with My Creative Time!

Enjoy!

Trick or Treat Shadow Box!

Good morning to all my spooky followers!

It's the "Fun~mare Before Halloween"  Blog Hop!  You should have arrived from Linda at Krazy Quilling, she is super creative!  To start from the beginning, go to Jess at Kinder Stampo...there is lots of blog candy give aways going on so be sure to check out all the blogs along the way!

Now on to my project...I've seen a few of these types of pictures going around, so of course I had to add a twist or two!  It's hard to see but I added glass etching for the moon.  And of course Halloween wouldn't be the same with out my favorite...candy corns, which are under the glass.  I hope you enjoy and get some ideas so you can create your own!

Recipe:
T shirt 12 x 12 frame
Happy Hauntings cart
house cut 5.18 x 7.07
trick or treat cut 6.41 x 1.60 out of vinyl
ghost cut 1.05 x 1.24 don't forget to flip one
Holiday Cake
moon and bat cut 6.68 x 1.96 out of vinyl
bat use regular piece
moon use the part you would normally throw away as a stencil for the glass etching
A Child's Year
cut the kids at 3" high
cut shadow based on 3" high regular piece
Bazzill paper
Stampin Up stamps

after I did mine I thought of this~ etch the inside part of the glass, it seemed to show up better.  I was unable to turn the glass around or I would have.

When assembling leave enough room for the candy corns!  The hard part is looking at the candy corns and not being able to get to them!  I think they call it a diet! :)

Ok your next stop should be Madison Funky Cards...I can't wait to see what she'll come up with!  If you get lost along the way, the list is right here for to get back on track!

  Enjoy!
