MCT December Release Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ fill my heart!

Only one more day before the shopping begins for My Creative Time's December Release!  Today we are sharing with you Heart Love Note Dies. 

 I used one of the dies to create a see through shaker card.  That's right there is a window through the front of the card and the sentiment is stamped on the interior of the card base.

To allow enough room for the beads I doubled up the craft foam.

You can see how I finished the inside of the card with the window.

MCT October Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ christmas shaker!

Hi today is day 1 of My Creative Time October Release Sneak Peeks!  

I had a lot of fun playing with Fun Stitched Ornaments & More.  There are 3 different ornaments with stamps to coordinate! 

To create the outline of the ornament, I used a circle die to cut out the center of the ornament.  

The actual die for the circle ornament is solid.  Don't you just love the wispy evergreens!  

I think they are so pretty!

For my project today I wanted to play around with the new fun "BOO" die.  So I used black shrinky dink material to create the teeny "boo"s for the shaker card...I just LOOOVE my shrinky dink "boo"s!  Just so you understand the actual die cut is bigger.  
Dies are an investment, so get creative and think of other ways to utilize them!
Don't you just love how Dracky is hang down to scare you!

***Disclaimer***  
In person you can tell the "B" is a "B", the glare of the clear cardstock and glitter made it hard to photograph.

 

As you've probably noticed the "boo" has an exclamation point at the end.  I cut it off because there wasn't a way to keep the dot connected and it was awkward with keeping only part of it.  :)

MCT April Release Blog Hop ~ believe!

Whoop Whoop, it's finally here!!!!  April Release Blog Hop for My Creative Time! 

 I'm going to get right to it :)

For this card I created a shaker card with a few twists...  The first twist is I made shrinky dink feathers for inside my shaker.  The second twist is my shaker is a see through window!

It's difficult to see I added wink of stetta to the feathers on the card base.  So in person the feathers have a little sheen to them.  My wink of stella was getting low so I added some water to the tube.  It really thinned it, maybe too much for most projects.  However not for this look, it was the perfect amount of shimmer!

Relax it's Father's Day!

Hi crafty friends, happy Friday!  Any fun plans this weekend?  I'll be finishing the painting in my bedroom.  My wonderful husband made his first "retirement" project this week.  He made me wood valences for our bedroom (like these).  I wanted them originally in our family room, then thought I wanted them in the bedroom too.  So he made the bedroom ones first for experience.  :)  They turned out perfect!

 For today's project I made a fun card for Father's Day.  I decided that a shaker card would be a bit different for a man.  

On the acetate I stamped the roof background stamp for the water.
