MCT 3D Wednesday ~ mini album!

Hi everyone!  I hope your week is going GREAT!  The last few weeks I've been getting so much done around my home, cleaning out closets and such.  I'm either way behind my spring cleaning or WAY ahead of the game!  :)  Even though I've been working around the house I took a little time out to craft and even did some organizing of my dies.  My friend Katie gave me the inspiration to make the change.  I was looking for her post but couldn't find it :/

Now I need to get on to why you came to visit me.  Today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time!  For my project I decided to make a "matchbook" mini album.  I used the Trifold Card and the Stitched Folder to created this little book.

I stapled all the folders together into the card.

For the camera die, I used double sided patter paper then simply turned over the inside piece to create the different paper for the lens and view finder.

I left the top of the frame without adhesive to allow for a picture to slide in.

To create the vellum pocket I cut two folders and cut it in half.

 

Then I used some thick hemp and a brad for a closure.

Scrapping The Little Things ~ Just You & Me!

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  Maybe a little family time or some crafting?  I had a bit of both myself!  Today at My Creative Time is Scrapping the Little things, which fits in perfectly with my weekend!  This past Saturday was the first Saturday that my husband and I had off together that we could spend time alone!  One daughter was home from school for the past month and the other daughter had come home to get "wedding things" done.

So we decided to take a trip to Half Moon Bay to walk around and then go to a late lunch at Sam's Chowder House.  My hubby has been wanting to take me there for over a year.

I made these cute "journal cards" with Stitch Journal die, for the day we were about to have!

I love that you can easily "customize" a pre printed journal card with My Creative Time stamps and dies.  On this card I added a stamp sentiment to the top and restroom peeps die at the bottom.

Again, I simply stamped the arrow with the "stamp off" method and the car at full strength ink.  Then stapled the arrow die cut at the top.

After walking around the downtown area and the farmer's market, I had a great idea to go see the elephant seals.  I knew we weren't that far from them.  Many moons ago, when I was around 16, I had gone on field trip to see them and the tide pools.  Hubby was game, so off we went!  When we got to the park the lady said it's about a 3 mile walk round trip, easy right.  Well half way into the walk we arrived at the first docent and I asked about the tide pools.  She let me know that they no longer let you on the beach for the tide pools or to see the elephant seals, it's just too much the seals. 

 Oh, ok and off we go again, except now instead of being in a hard ground, we are walking in soft sand in sand dunes!  What?  I didn't think I was going to be exercising today!  Anyway, we finally made it to the seals but they were so far away that they didn't show up in the picture except this one all by himself.

All I have to say is that by the time we got to Sam's Chowder House, I totally deserved this Lobster Roll Sandwich!  Yum Yum!!

This was our view from our table...we really enjoyed watching the dogs play in the water!

3D Wednesday ~ warm my heart!

 

Good morning crafty friends!  It's a fun day over at My Creative Time...it's 3D Wednesday!  I love making cards and layouts, but love mixing it up with 3D projects too!  Today I have a fun little gift project to share with you!

 

 

First I cut the tea cup and saucer with  Cartridge at the largest size the would fit on a 12x12 paper.  Then I simply cut 9 of the small flowers from Flower Petal Dies.  To make the petal rounded, I used a medium size stylus and a mouse pad.  On the backside of the paper, you just roll around the stylus.

 

After cutting the Stitched Round Tab, Arrow & Tag I stamped the coffee bean from You Are Perk-fect Stamp with the "stamp off" method.  Then with full strength of ink on a stamp, I stamped the sentiment.

Tag It Tuesday! ~ The Best is yet to come!

Hi Everyone, welcome to My Creative Time's new feature called Tag-it Tuesday!  This is going to be an every other Tuesday event!  For this week, we were asked to use yellow, orange, and red as color palette.

I had a lot of fun making this cute little tag, that can easily be attached to a card base for a quick card!  I'm thinking that I should just get a ton made then have them on hand for future needs!

I used the Stitched Cartoon Cloud on the tag base, then backed it with a pattern paper!

MCT Sneak Peek #4 ~ SMiLe!

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to My Creative Time's July Release Sneak Peeks!  I know you have to be enjoying all the projects my design team sisters have been creating for this HUGE release, as have I!!!  There are just so many FABULOUS stamps and dies in this release that are too die for (get it! hehehe).  Hurry and get yours before they sell out!  Even if they do sell out, it won't be long before Miss Emma has them back in stock!  :)

I decided to make a couple of "PL" cards for future layouts.

I cut the camera with felt added a staple for more interest and then used glossy accents on the hot air balloon.

MCT Sneak Peek #3 ~ Faith in You!

Good morning and happy Friday!  Oh my, can you believe I posted twice in one week?!  How could I not when have all of these new AWESOME stamps to play with!!!

Well today is day 3 of My Creative Time's newest release and all the girls will be showing you some fun and fabulous projects! 

Without giving too much away, I did alter the size of one of the new dies.  After the release sneak peeks are over, I will try to get a video done showing what I did.
