MCT Thoughtful Tuesday ~ superstar!

Happy Tuesday to you!  Today is Thoughtful Tuesday over at My Creative Time, I'm always happy when I get scheduled for it...I can always use these cards.  :)

To create this card I simply cut out a star from the card base.  Next I cut a red and blue star outline, by taping two stars together with washi tape.  Stamped the sentiment and stars on the inside of the card.

MCT June Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ dream!

Hello and welcome to day 2 of My Creative Time's June Release sneaky peeks! Today we get to share with Never Stop Dreaming stamp and die set. This set is so pretty with many "dream" sentiments!

To create my card, I did some simple stamping with a light grey using only a portion of the dream catcher image and VersaMark ink on pink cardstock. I stamped the dream catcher with Memento Ink then colored with Copic Markers. Adding hemp and Nuvo Drops completes this card. Oh and I put a bit of Wink of Stella on the center of the dream catcher.

MCT 3D Wednesday ~ your kindness!

Hello, it's 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time!  I know, you're probably thinking...this isn't a 3D project.  Oh but it is!  

To create this card I cut two worlds and placed thread between and attached.  Next I cut a circle from the card base and the background panel.  Then I sandwiched the world with the thread between the card base and panel.  I next stamped the sentiment inside the card base so that the world would cover it.

Before closing the card all you have to do is twist the world tight and carefully close the card.  

When the recipient opens the card the world spins.  So yeah, it's a 3D card!  :)

MCT Whatever Wednesday ~ celebrate!

Hello crafty friends!  Today is Whatever Wednesday at My Creative Time and it's a perfect time to try different techniques.  I'm not even sure what to call this technique, maybe dimensional die cutting.  

On the panel I stamped and copic colored the image, then (while holding my breath) I die cut the "celebrate".  Next I cut 1 white and 2 black "celebrate".  I inlaid the the white one into the panel and stacked the black ones on top.  The color one was added to the top.  Be sure you keep all the pieces from the colored one to add to the panel so it shows through.  This is easier than I'm explaining.  If I was to do this again I would of used black for the inlaid piece too.

MCT 7 Year Anniversary Release Sneak Peeks Day 2 ~ wishing you comfort!

Hello, today is day 2 of  My Creative Time's 7 Year Anniversary Sneak Peeks!   Like yesterday we have another fun and unique edge die called Circle Border Die. 

Honestly my pictures aren't doing it justice...

this will be an on going theme this week with my pictures. 

I created the border on the teal panel then attached to my card base, then inlaid with the rust centers.  Of course I don't let anything go to waste so I was able to make another card (see below) with the leftover rust circles.  Then I added the Flower Petal Die cut several times and layered.

MCT 7 Year Anniversary Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ thinking of you!

It's day 1of My Creative Time's 7 Year Anniversary Release Sneak Peeks! Today we have a fun and creative new die called Flower Border Die.  I really wanted to keep my card all white with just a touch of yellow.  However I knew that it would look terrible in the pictures so I had to add some color.  It was still difficult to photograph :(  Honestly my pictures aren't doing it justice...this will be an on going theme this week with my pictures.

I used the stencil to emboss the "polka dots" strip, then simply die cut and stamped the rest.  Sorry for the blurry picture below...I had a lot of trouble with the glitter paper being too reflective.  :(

In person it's really cute, I promise!

For my next card I ink blended the rainbow with the stencil.

Next I used a rectangle die on the panel, die cut "hello" three times in black and once in glitter.

MCT Throwback Thursday ~ happy bird-day!

Happy Thursday to you, welcome to My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday!  I'm going to share a "tweet" card I made using and older little set, Birthday Buddies.

For the background I used my "cloud stencil"(I made with the cloud edge die) and ink blended VERY lightly with distress ink.  It's so light the camera can barely pick it up, but in person it's perfectly light. :)

Next I die cut the square frame using two square dies taped together.  The images were stamped then colored with copic markers.  I also added details with gel pen, chalk and glossy accents.  I love glossy accents in person, but it never photographs well, especially when I use it on "eyes".
