MCT Whatever Wednesday ~ Merci!

Happy Whatever Wednesday!  That sounds a bit snarky, but I don't mean it that way :).  Whatever Wednesday is just a day over at My Creative Time that we on the design team can make whatever we want!

For today's project I made a gift card holder using the envelope die, I just didn't glue it shut.

On the back flap I punched two slots for the ribbon to fit through.  The ribbon holds the whole thing closed.  On the inside I add the pocket die to hold the card.  Before attaching it to the envelope, I heat embossed the wreath.

PKS May Release Sneak Peak Day 4 ~ Road Trip!

Were so glad to have you here for Day #4 of Peachy Keen Stamps, May Sneak Peeks!

Have you enjoyed the release so far?  I know I have!  My DT sisters are so TALENTED!!!!

Tonight we have our final night of samples to share, and we are so excited for tomorrow night when we can show you this awesome camping themed release in it’s entirety!  You’ve gotten glimpses of each set, but just wait until you can see it all!  A sight to behold!!

What most of you don't know is that my husband and I were on a road trip for most of the month of April.  So when Kathy first showed us these ADORABLE stamps, I knew I would be making some PL style cards.  We just got home last week, I had to go right back to work, so I haven't got my pictures sent in for printing yet.  I'll add a couple at the end of my post :)

Oh did you notice that I said "I had to go right back to work", not "we had to go right back to work"?  Yep, that's right DH retired...so not fair!  lol!  Anyway, I LOVE the way my cards turned out!

If you look closely, you can see that I wasn't real careful about the gold pen.  This was on purpose, sometimes when things are too perfect, they look manufactured.  I didn't want "that look"!  :)

Welcome to Peachy Keen's May Release Week!  It’s sure hard to believe that May is upon us already, yet here we are!  There’s so many exciting things that happen at this time of year.  Kiddos are winding down their school year, and many times plans are being made for all the fun things that Summer has to offer.   Being outdoors is of course at the top of the list for Summer fun, and one theme that has been consistently requested by our beloved peachy friends is a camping theme.   We aim to please, so hang on folks, because this one is a dandy and you’re gonna LOVE IT!!

MCT Designer Challenge ~ Happy Mother's Day!

Good Morning Friends, welcome to My Creative Time Designer Challenge!  Today our challenge is to create a project for Mother's Day using flowers.  

Have you notice all the watercolor stuff going on?  Well it's so hot right now, and it made think of a technique that I learned years ago that has a watercolor feel to it.

If you look closely you can see the stamped images are not crisp and even.  Since I haven't made a video in a while, maybe I'll try to one for you.

My card felt a bit flat to me, so I distressed the edges and added stickles to the center of the flowers.
