MCT Head Of The Class Blog Hop ~ 143!

Good Morning!  Welcome to My Creative Time's Head of the Class Blog Hop!  Since this is HUGE hop, I'm going to get right to it...
You should have arrived here from the talented Miss Ruthie.  If you just popped in to see me then be sure to head over to Miss Emma's for the start.  I know you won't want to miss a chance to win  AWESOME blog candy!

My first card is for my husband for our anniversary...some of you might not be old enough to know what "143" means.  :)  However if you ever had a pager, then you probably know. lol!

That's how my husband and I would say "I love you" to each other throughout the day with our pagers.  We still use it now, just in texts.

I created the heart with scrap paper, heart dies, modeling paste, and inks.

I cut the number dies several times then glued them together to make them thicker.

This was fun to emboss and color on cork!

After heat embossing with white, I colored in the flowers with copic markers.  I then added stickles to the flower centers.  Glossy accents on the "hello" and some bling adds the finishing details!

PKS August Sketch, Color, or Photo Challenge ~ Happy Birthday!

Hi crafty friends!  It's time again for Peachy Keen Challenge!  I don't know if you're aware that Peachy Keen has changed up their challenge.  They have given us a sketch, photo, and colors to choose from.  You can use all three for inspiration or any combination to create your masterpiece.

I was inspired by all three for my card today :)

I used distress inks spritzed with water on the branch background stamp.  Then used copic markers on the stamped fox image.

After I was finished coloring the fox, I speckled the circle piece with all the colors of branches.  I was careful not to speckle the face of the fox.

PK Face Day ~ eat drink and be scary!

This is my second post of today
***If you are looking for MCT Made In Minutes, click HERE***

Hi peachy friends!
It's my day to take over the Peachy Keen Blog with fun faces!
Today I choose to use faces from the newest release.

I love summer, however I'm really looking forward to fall and all that's creepy.
This is the perfect set to help get me in the mood!  But don't get too caught up with it being "Halloween"!  If you know of anyone that's in to The Walking Dead or some other zombie thing, then this can be perfect for birthdays too!

Aren't these zombie faces fun!  If you look closely you can see that I stamped faces in the background for  more interest.  Oh and the "Einstein" face is just too cute!

I used copic markers to color the images, then followed up with white gel pen, stickles, and glossy accents.  It's the details that make the zombies come back to life!  :)

MCT Made In Minutes ~ butterfly!

Good morning and happy Monday!  Today is Made in Minutes over at My Creative Time!  So you want to know what Made in Minutes means.  I think it means, being able to create something is a short amount of time.  Well that's exactly what I was able to do today.  I was able to make all four of these cards in about 10 minutes.

I made 4 small cards for a gift set, however you could use the same concept to create a A2 size card.

Since this is a one layer card I cut my card base to the size I wanted.  Then I used a regular die, running it through my Big Shot with the rubber layer to create an embossed image.  I then cut the same image out of scrap paper and placed it over the embossed image using repositionable adhesive to secure it.  Then I used the water brush stamp, to stamp over the scrap die cut.  When I removed the scrap die cut, I was left with the embossed image over the water brush stamp image.  I hope this makes sense, if not let me know and I'll do a tutorial later.

It felt a bit plain to me so I decided to add a sequin and stickles...you know I need some type of bling!
