Monday Hop with EAD Designs!!!

***this is my second post of the day ~ if you are looking for MCT 12 Days of Christmas ~ Day 12, please scroll down and leave a comment for that giveway too***
Oh happy Monday to you!  What's better than to start the week with a fun little hop with EAD Designs!  You should have arrived here from Lauren's darling blog!  If not, because you just popped in to see me, then you will want to head over to EAD's Blog for the start!  Just leave a comment for all along the way and you will be eligible for this week's giveaway!  We also have our two Guest Designers for the month of December, Katie and Stephanie, so be sure to leave them some kind comments!
I know that I've been showing these little bags quite a bit lately, but only because they are so cute and easy to do for little gifts!  How cute would this be to have a little get together and give everyone a little gift with hot cocoa packs and instant hand warmers.  This idea reminded of  going caroling as a child then heading over to someones house for cocoa and cider after...nothing fancy, just enjoying everyone's company!  I'm all about the simple touches this year!  :)

While I was at Disneyland last week, I picked up some coaster for my family room.  Inside the box was Mickey head cardboard pieces.  Well, they were just too cute to throw them out, so I decided to recycle them into ornaments!  This is one is simply rolled in chunky gold glitter!  Then I added a tag from Build a Banner Stamp and Die Kit, stamped it with Mixed Holiday Sentiments and added a silver bow!  How easy is that!  I have 2 more cardboard heads, you will be seeing them later this week I'm sure...once I decide how to decorate them! :)

MCT 12 Days of Christmas ~ Day 10

I know that I already told you that I make English Toffee for friends and family earlier this week.  However I don't always package everyone's the same way.  I used to hand cut these french fry boxes for my candy every year, but not now!!!  Now I use Art Philosophy cartridge!  I still like to keep them simple and elegant so I just added a florish for one and trees for the other.  Both cuts are also from Art Philosophy.  Then I just added a tag with "To" stamped on them.  Another quick and easy gift!  If you missed my candy recipe the other day, you can click here for it!

Ingredients:
Art Philosopy Cricut Cartridge

Did I confuse you yesterday with calling it "Day 7", well it did me!  I totally freaked out thinking my post didn't post!  But it did, I just named it the same thing as the day before!  Anyway for today's project I wanted to share with you another quick layout!  Did you know that all of your layouts don't need to be works of art!  Sometimes simple is just PERFECT!  It also helps if you have fabulous paper like Teresa Collins Christmas Home!

recipe:
Sophisicated Cricut Cartridge
florish cut at 3.50
traditions cut at 1.25
border cut at 1.00
I added glitter to the florish
Teresa Collins ~ Christmas Home paper
Whisker Graphics ~ Divine Twine

MCT 12 Days of Christmas ~ Day 8!

Welcome to My Creative Time's 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop! We are showcasing projects that are quick and easy or some with more details. For today's project, it's kind of a repeat, with a twist!  Miss Katie and I decided to make the roof tin project but with a Christmas theme!  Mine is in a frame that can be changed for the seasons.

those are my girls when they were little!  time goes by so fast!

I made the magnet with a glass pebble and

all you need a 5x7 roof tin (sheet metal section at Home Depot)

open the frame and place the roof tin on top of the glass

then place the paper that you want the background to be on top of the roof tin (don't glue).  close up the frame.  you only need to leave the glass in, so it's not moving around in the frame.  place your picture on top of the paper with the magnet holding it.  easy peasy!!!

These make cute and easy Christmas gifts for family.  Just cut several seasonal pattern papers and make magnets to match!  That way they can change in with the seasons!
