MCT ~ Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ You're So Cool!

Hi Everyone!  I hope your new year has started off HAPPY & HEALTHY!!!  For those that have been following me for a while, you know that my daughter was getting married.  Well her wedding was last weekend!  I have to say, having a wedding so close to the holidays has some minuses but lots of pluses too! I will share pictures in the near future.  :)

Today is the first day of My Creative Time's 29th Release!  Can you believe that MCT is going into it's 4th year!!!!   This is just sooo EXCITING!!!!  Well just like always, Miss Emma doesn't disappoint with her awesome designs of stamps and dies with this release!!

I wanted to make a cute bag & tag gift that I could attach a gift card on the back.  The stamps and dies from the new sets are "You're So Cool" Stamp Set and "Winter Flakes" dies.  

Don't you just love his little glasses!!!  I added a bit of glossy accents to them for some texture.  :)

Older sets used are "Fun Stitched Edges" dies (created the hills), "Tag Dies" (for the large tag), and "Chunky Jar Accessories" dies (small tag on bag).

The details in the "Winter Flakes" dies are so intricate yet still able to cut through wool felt!

With a few more embellishments, stickles, baker's twine, blue jute, wool felt, rhinestone and a glassine bag complete this sweet gift!

2014 MCT Design Team Is Here!!!

 

Happy New Year! 

I have a quick post today just to announce that My Creative Time has a new Design Team for 2014!  I'm soooo excited to be on  Miss Emma's team for another go around!!! 

 

 The 2014 My Creative Team is a great mix of new faces and old!  I know that you'll be so excited, as am I, to see what these wonderfully talented ladies will create and inspire us with MCT products!

 

I'm still in wedding mode for my daughters wedding this Saturday, so I'm going to show you a few of my past favorite projects!  I hope you like them the second time around!

For my last project I wanted to make a recipe card for friends.  Every year I make English Toffee for gifts.  This year I'm thinking of adding a recipe card with it. :)

 

 

I didn't have time to write out the recipe before I took the picture, I really wanted to take my time since I don't have the best handwriting :)  However I feel it really important to hand write them, it's like your giving more of yourself that way. 

 

I plan on adding a picture of the candy on the red mat, that way who gets this will know what they are making.

 

 

Wouldn't this be a great gift with a box of family favorite recipes!  Handwritten and a picture of past holidays!

For today's project I made a sweet ornament.  These could easily be made as tags then to be used for ornaments later.  Just add the "to and from" on the back.  Easy Peasy extra gift!

Today I wanted to share with you a quick and easy card!  I LOVE the new Fun Stitched Edges Dies!  I'm still amazed by the details of the stitching and the intricate cut of the zigzag one I used!  Actually I love all of them!

 

I stamped the star then "fancy" cut it and then added some chunky glitter.  I couldn't get a great picture with the natural light I had available...it looks waaaay better in person!

 

I also added some fine glitter to the little "sparkle" stamp

Today I wanted to share with you a kind of "Advent Calendar" however I didn't finish it.  Last week was so crazy with family for Thanksgiving and my daughters shower that I just couldn't get it together.  I was thinking it would be fun to have candy canes on the tree that could be plucked off each day until Christmas!

 

Even though it's December 3rd, I think this could still be doable for this year!
