Card ~ Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey peachy friends, I've been having lots of fun coloring with my copics lately.  I love that the coloring doesn't have to be perfect all the time.

Take for example this corn image that I stamped, colored, and fussy cut.  I purposely left some white spots as highlights.  It worked out perfectly!

After coloring, I added glossy accents to a few kernels, and a bit of white gel pen for more highlights.

PK Trendspotting ~ Aqua and Glitz!

Today I'm excited to be taking over the Peachy Keen Blog with a Trendspotting feature.
I've noticed that the color aqua staying strong in popularity.  Probably because it's a great accent color with many different combos.  What I've also noticed is bling isn't going any away anytime soon.  Maybe it's just me, however I'm really tired of the word, so that's where "glitz" comes in.  Metallics and anything that sparkles is what I call glitz. :)

The snowman is from Chill Baby Chill set, which just happens to be on special this month!  How's that for AWESOME!  He was super fun to color too!

It doesn't take a lot to create sparkle.  I simply added gold dots, lines and a few clear sequins.

Just Married!

I have a quick wedding card that I made for a young couple!

This card took hardly any time to complete.  I don't usually say that when working with copics.  However, it's true since there wasn't many details to the car, just a bit of shading.  Once the coloring was completed, I added glossy accents to the window, lights, and bumper.

For the sentiment, I die cut it once in chrome paper and twice in black, then layered them.  Randomly die cut hearts and scattered them...that's it!

Thanksgiving Dinner Place Cards!

Good morning and happy Monday, I hope you enjoyed your weekend!  I was able to get a bit of crafting and planning for Thanksgiving done.  I came up with these cute place cards for our feasting day!

Aren't these little birds so cute

I first colored them with copic markers, then fussy cut them out and attached them to the lollipop holder.  They are super easy and not too time consuming to make...my kind of project!  :)

I have two projects to share with you so I'm not going to keep you too long :)

I really love one layer cards lately, however I sometimes feel they still need something...that's when glossy accents comes in handy :)

Just adding a small amount of glossy accents or something similar to the heart made all the difference!

For my second project, I found a free printable online then added some die cut leaves and gold pen dots.

As you can see I attached the leaves at the bottom then carefully bent them up.  I wanted the picture to have more of a 3D effect.

MCT October Release Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ Reindeer Crossing!

Well it's Day 4 of Sneak Peeks for My Creative Time's October Release!  We only have to wait one more day for the shopping to begin!

Today I have two cards to share with you, both using copic markers.  You might remember that I recently took an online copic class and was super excited when I saw Miss Emma had created new stamps to color!  It seems lately that I dream copics!  lol!

Don't you just love this sweet little reindeer!  I think he's ADORABLE!  I created the snow with Fun Edge Dies.  Looking at it now, I think I should have added some ink along the edges.  It's hard to see in the picture the hills.

I added Wink of Stella to his nose. atlers, and the lamp.  Then added glossy accents on top of them for more depth.

For my next card I colored this sweet puppy.  I just love him!!!

MCT October Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ Believing Is Seeing!

Welcome to Day 2 of My Creative Time October Sneak Peeks!
Didn't you love all the projects from yesterday!  These girls just totally blew me away with their creativity!

While on Pinterest I found this fun Santa printable.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to embellish it with the holly and berry dies!

The chrome paper is perfect for this picture, however I didn't have any red metallic paper.  So I grabbed my red copic marker and colored it!  Perfect!

I love how easy you can take a beautiful printable and make it your own with a few dies!

MCT October Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ With Sympathy!

Whoop Whoop it's Monday, the first day of October Sneak Peeks for My Creative Time!  I'm so in LOVE with all the new stamps and dies, they are so versatile too!  I really love how creative you can be with them.  Oh and how you can mix them with previously released sets!!!

For today's card I did a some stamping, die cutting, and a bit of watercoloring!

To create the watercolor tree, I first stamped the trunk, then I cut the oval tree top out of scratch paper.  I then layed the negative over the top of the trunk and splattered watered down ink.  I use brick red, a musturd yellow, and moss green.  Once the splatters were dry I remove the "negative scratch paper"  then added a few more splatters and "leaves" at the bottom of the trunk.

Again once dry I added the sentiment and small amount of gold pen.  It's hard to see in the picture, but trust me, in person it really adds alot. :)
