Today's card is for the mother of a friend of mine from another Design Team.  She's had a rough time recently, I hope this will cheer her up!

MCT ~ Try Me Tuesday ~ Thank You!

Hi paper peeps!
I really excited to share with you another new feature at My Creative Time,  called Try Me Tuesday!  The design team crew will all be making a card that has some type of dry embossing.  Now I know that this isn't something new, however maybe you haven't used an embossing folder in a while.  If that's you, then dust them off and make something beautiful!

I needed to make another "thank you" card for a friend, yes lately I have lots of people to thank!  It seems like it's been forever since I used the Stitched "Capture" Frame Die, but all of a sudden I have a ton of ideas!  I'll try to spread them out, so you don't get bored with it.  :)

After I stamped "thank you" on the Stitched Circle Tab die, I added glossy accents to give it the epoxy disc look.  I think it turned out great.

The embossing folder it from a Life Style Crafts that I recently purchased at Michael's, called "Chain", but I thought it looked more like a basket...but what do I know.

recipe:

Extras
Teresa Collins ~ Everyday Moments
Teresa Collins ~ enamel dots
Papertrey Ink cardstock
metallic bakers twine
Stampin' Up ribbon and ink
Tim Holtz ink
button
Life Style embossing folder ~ Chain

Now see what you can create using MCT stamps and dies along with dry embossing.  If you post your projects on Facebook, be sure to tag Miss Emma or My Creative Time FB page.  Emma and all of us girls on the DT love to see the way you create with her products!

An Exciting Announcement ~ You're Such a Deer!

Good Morning and Happy Monday!  I'm so excited to announce that I'm now part of the Peachy Keen Stamps Design Team!  I still can remember the day that I discovered Peachy Keen Stamps.  It's when I stumbled upon my friend Emma's Blog!  At the time I didn't even realize that people blogged about crafts, crazy huh! Well, Emma was using the most darling face stamps that reminded me of my Tole Painting days! Shortly after I ordered my first set of faces, I believe they were Everyday Character Faces.

I have always wanted to try out for the team but the timing was never right to fit in with my other commitments, however I had loved my two past Guest Designer stints!  This time the timing was perfect to join their team!  I want to thank Kathy and all the PKS peeps for the opportunity to join their Design Team!

I needed to make a thank you card for a friend and I thought this little fawn would be ADORABLE!  He is from the December 2013 Release called  PKSC-24 December 2013.  There are so many great stamps on it to make a fun calender!  On the tab die, I first stamp the dotted line then the sentiment over the dotted line.

I have Copic markers, however I had received an email for the Spectrum Noir pens that were 40% off, so I decided to get them.  This was my first try with them, I'm not sure if I like them yet.  Maybe I need to watch a few videos. :)

MCT Challenge with a Sketch ~ Sweet Moments!

Happy Thursday to you!
I'm so happy to say that My Creative Time is hosting their first Challenge of 2014!  Hopefully this challenge will motivate you to complete a page using your Holiday or any pictures for that manner!  I wasn't on the schedule today, but I just couldn't resist getting a page done myself.  Being that I was sooo EXCITED to get a page done with the super darling kids from my daughter's wedding!

These two STOLE the spotlight for the ceremony...and I don't think my daughter minded a bit!  She chose two of the most darling, well behaved, willing to please, super cute in every way kids!!!  Little Miss is already a pro at being a flower girl at the ripe old age of 2, yes 2!  Little Mr. is quite wise beyond his years, having no issue of holding hands with Little Miss (who he just met the day before)!
The awesome thing about doing a "Project Life" type album is that you can still do traditional 12x12 size pages since they have 12x12 pockets that work beautiful with the "PL" pockets.

As you can see I didn't follow the sketch exactly, and you don't have to either, however it should resemble it.  I printed the pictures from my printer, not so thrilled with the results.  I may have to have them printed professionally, but I wanted them on my page for the challenge.   After printing them, I used the 3x4 Journal Die.  Since you can see through it, I cut the print down to just over 3x4, then I let the same amount hang over the die.  That way I knew the cuts would be square with the picture.  Lastly I added some Tim Holtz distress ink to the edges of the pictures.  I think I used "Old Paper".  It aged it a bit plus made the stitching more pronounced.

I inked all the remaining paper edges with "Frayed Burlap".  Added chunky glitter to the die cut mustache.  I know...only I would glitter up a mustache! lol!!!

recipe:
Things I Love Stamp Set (sweet moments sentiment)

Extras
Papers: MME, Carte Bella, and some unknown companies
American Cardstock
chunky glitter
Tim Holtz inks
Mementos ink
bakers twine
button

Be sure to enter the challenge by clicking HERE...you know that Miss Emma will have a FABBIE prize for the winner!

MCT Tag-it Tuesday ~ You're Just My Type!

Hi Everyone and welcome to My Creative Time"Tag-it Tuesday"!  This is a new feature at MCT, where we are to create a tag.  This week's assignment was to go with any theme.  Now you would think that with "any theme" I would be able to follow the rules...but, nooooo!  I couldn't just stay with a tag, I had to make a tag card!  That's right a TAG CARD!  hehehe

In order to make it a card, you need to start with a thin piece of cardstock (papertry ink cardstock will not work for this).  Tri fold it back and forth at two places.  Just make sure that the center section is narrower than the die (otherwise the die will cut it and you'll have 3 tags...no bueno).  When you run it through the cutter, again make sure the center section is lined up not to be cut on either side of the die.  I hope this make sense.  :)  Then cut one tag all by itself from a pattern paper and attach to the front tag.  That will give it more stability.

The center section tag is slightly narrower than the end tags, but it's all one piece of cardstock.

I created a pocket on the front to slip in another dag, for more "love notes".

The stickle hearts were stamped first then I added stickles for more sparkle!  Plus I added glossy accents to all of the small die hearts and the "xoxo".  Gotta love glossy accents!  :)

Recipe:
Tag Dies (tag base)
Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO ( medium heart, small heart, and xoxo die)
Once Upon A Time Stamp Set ( typewriter and small sentiments)
You're So Cool Stamp Set(tiny heart stamp)

Extras
thin cardstock
Carte Bella pattern paper
jute
bakers twine
button
glossy accents
stickles
Mementos ink
Stampin' Up ink
paperclips
Provo Craft embossing folder

Don't forget to stop by and see what all the other girls from the Design Team made!

Yes, that is another felt embellishment on my card today!  lol!  I told I was crazy for felt this week!  :)  The Fun Paper Airplane Die is too stinkin' cute!!  I wish the picture showed all the details.  It's really cool in person, the picture doesn't do it justice!

I used the Cartoon Cloud Background Stamp and the Plane and Simple stamp set for the sentiments ( front and inside of card).

This card was kept fairly simple and masculine, since I never have enough "manly" cards.

MCT ~ Sneak Peeks Day 4 ~ Baby, It's Cold Outside!

 Happy Thursday!
It's Day 3 of My Creative Time 29th Release Sneak Peeks!  This week has gone by too fast!  My mind is going crazy with all the ideas I'm trying to store for the future with all the wonderful stamps and dies from this release!

Oooh you're gonna LOVE what I have to show you today!  Maybe not my card, but the die that creates the card I made!  That's right it's a flip card, Miss Emma has named it "Stitch Surprise Pop Out card" die.  I'm telling you, this is a MUST have die!  The possibilities are endless when added with your creativity!

After I cut the card using the die, I ran both sides through my Big Shot with a Swiss Dot embossing folder.  The stitching from the is so strong the embossing folder won't ruin it.  The "Stitch Surprise Pop Out card" die comes with a "frame die" that gives you two pieces to do some layering.  I only used one of the pieces.  On the back side of the "flip" part of the card I used the other new die called
"Stitch Gift Card Pocket Die".  Isn't that just PERFECT!!!

The sentiments are from "You're So Cool" & the felt snow flakes are the "Winter Flakes" dies.  Yep, I'm using felt again!  hehehe  I told you that I was hooked on felt this week! :)

Embellishments and papers used are from Papertrey Ink, Echo Park, Mementos Ink, buttons, and baker's twine.

Now for the fun stuff!!!  Just like always, Miss Emma is very generous with her giveaways.  So be sure to read so you don't lose out!

MCT ~ Sneak Peek Day 3 ~ Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Hi paper peeps!
Can you believe that we are half way through the My Creative Time 29th Release "sneak peeks"!  I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I'm lovin' this release!

Today I wanted to share with you a set of "Thank You" cards.  I made them 3x3 size to fit in the

Of course this size can not be mailed, but this size works out perfect since I made them for some
coworkers.  I can easily slip them in their box at work.

Besides the envelope die, I use the stamp set "Once Upon a Time" for the typewriter and sentiment.  To create the mat with stitching, I used the small square from "4x4 Journal Die + More".

For some reason I'm hooked on felt this week!  I added the small felt hearts and felt stars from "4x4 Journal Die + More"!  A little baker's twine to close the envelope is just enough embellishment to make it cute, but not too girlie!  Paper is from Echo Park and Papertrey Ink.

Now for the fun stuff!!!  Just like always, Miss Emma is very generous with her giveaways.  So be sure to read so you don't lose out!
