Thrifty Thursday ~ Congrats Card and more!

Hello paper peeps and happy Thursday!  I'm very excited to share with you a new segment for My Creative Time...Thrifty Thursday!  On the days that's not a Designer Challenge, Emma will be rotating different themes for the off Thursday's.  So what does Thrifty Thursday mean?  Glad you asked!  We have to make a card or a layout using only scraps.  Of course the base for either doesn't have to be.

This is what I started with.  When ever I cut something and the paper isn't quite right for the project I'm working on, I never throw them away.  So you can see the heart is already cut from another project.

And here is the finished card...I don't think it looks like a card of scraps!  Do you?

Look how much I have left over still!  I think I feel another card coming on!  lol!

I have recently cut back on the amount of Design Teams I'm on.  I have really enjoyed being on all the different teams and getting to know really great people!  However I'm super excited to be able to devote myself to My Creative Time and my own Boutique!  And with my new found freedom, I plan on playing in different challenges and doing some redecorating at home!  Yes, I will be sharing these projects with you too.  So if you have just recently became a follower, I hope you aren't disappointed that I won't only have paper projects.

Enjoy!

Tea For You ~ 3D Wednesday!

Hi paper lovers, it's 3D Wednesday at My Creative Time today!  Our projects today are to be some type of box or container.  I know I've mentioned it before how I just love chalkboards, so I thought I would do a twist on that theme!

That's right...a chalkboard tea cup!

I think this the same concept would look great on a card or a layout!
However you can't put chocolate in a layout! hehehe

Snow Much Fun ~ Layout!

Hi Everyone, happy Monday!  Welcome to My Creative Time's Scrapping the Little Things!  Each Monday, some of us on the design team will be showing you different layouts using Project Life style or Smash Books layouts.

Even though I wasn't on today's schedule, I couldn't help but join in!  It feels so good to get pages completed!  I have decided to use Echo Parks Photo Freedom protectors!  I really love them!
I used My Creative Time "Cherish This Moment" stamp set for the journaling lines and the "stinkin' cute" stamp!

The wonderful thing about this style of scrapping is that you can whip through your pages so fast!  I found these old pictures from 1996!  I had already scraped them for both of my girl's albums, so when I opened the envelope I saw that I had already cropped some of them into ovals.  At first I was kind of bummed, but then I realized that I could still use them.  Ideally I wouldn't have the pictures that way, but I didn't want to throw them away either!

For the little plum snowflakes I used "It's a Magical Season" stamp set.  Then for "January" and the "year" I used "Whimsical Calender" and "Just Simply Live"!

I added a bit of stickles, thin hemp and sparkly buttons for glitz!  And lastly I'm lovin' that I can still use my Cricut with this style.  Did you know that you can mix and match the protectors?  What that means is, that you can still do traditional scrapping, since Echo Park offers different style of pockets, including a full 12x12!

Designer Challenge ~ Hi Card!

Hi Paper Lovers!  Welcome to My Creative Time's Designer Challenge, I'm so thrilled and excited to be this week's Designer!

For the challenge I wanted to keep things simple, you know like 1, 2, 3!  So that's exactly what it is...use 1 bow, 2 pattern papers, and 3 buttons!  How much simpler can it get?  Well as simple as it seems, it was a bit challenging to do...at least for me!  lol!

I really wanted to use another pattern paper, but I couldn't go against the rules (lol) so I used my Sizzix folder for the hexagons!  For the "hi" I used Lowercase Fun Letters and the flowers were made with felt and Flower Petal Dies, and the tag is Tag Dies.
Some hemp for the buttons and seam binding ribbon on the tag complete this challenge!  Oh I did do a little sewing too!

Extras
Sizzix embossing folder
glossy accent (on the "hi")

Christmas Joy ~ Scrapping The Little Things!

Hi paper lovers, happy Monday!  Welcome to My Creative Time's Scrapping the Little Things!
I hope you enjoyed your weekend, I had a great one!  Went out to dinner with friends and scrapped my very first "Project Life" style layout!  I used a different brand that was available at Michael's to see if I would even like it.  I'm really happy with my first layout.  I had a bit of trouble with it at first...I think I was over thinking it.

We went to Disneyland the week of Thanksgiving with 5 families!  The picture of us on the Tower of Terror has 12 of us in it!  It was a great trip, it's been a while that all four of us have been on vacation together!
I still need to add some journaling, I think once I do that, my page will come alive!

I cut 3 banners from "Vintage Label Dies" then stamped them with "Have Fun in the Sun" stamp set.

Curled up the banner then added a rhinestone to one side.  After I added the pictures, I attached the banner to the outside of the protector.

I love that I can still use my cricut for this type of scrapbooking!  I cut two labels and the "joy" with it.  Did some dry embossing on the red background and the "joy"!  Then again added a button with hemp on the outside.  Love it!!!

I think I could get into this type of scrapbooking!  I like that you can also get 12x12 protectors, so you could mix and match traditional and quick and easy together!

You Make My Heart Sing ~ Card!

Hey everyone, happy Saturday!
Today is my turn to take over Jinger's blog with another project with her fabulous paper and embellishment line!

To create this card I used the pretty music pattern paper from Bella Vita and  the crowns and roses from Gypsy Queen!  Who says you can't mix up your papers!!! lol!

I also used the beautiful heart doily from Jinger's collection, over a die cut heart.  Added some seam binding ribbon and some more of Jinger's gold trim!  A button, metallic gold hemp and a cute little tag to top it off!

Also I wanted to show you ( really tease you) with another picture of the Craft Armoire!  Oh I can't wait for this to be available for sale!!!!

And then here is one of the newest paper lines that will be out soon!
