Just a Card!

Hi,

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  I needed to make a card for my stepmom's birthday.  I'm always trying to come up with something bright, cherry and very feminine.  I think I covered al the bases with this one!  Just so I give credit where credit is do, I totally scrap lifted this one from Karen at The Sweetest Thing.  She's having a challenge with a sketch, but I totally copied hers so I won't be entering mine.

Recipe:
Cricut Cartridges: Home Accents, Holiday Cake and Cherry Limeade
Paper: DCWV, Cosmo Cricket
Stampin Up Brads
Ribbon, Stickles, Pearls

card cut at 5 3/4" then layered down
circle cut about 4' then layered down

My Pink Stamper "Winter" Challenge

I hope everyone is having a good afternoon!  I'm recovering from my white water rafting trip!  Had a blast but had a few "mishaps", and we all came home alive!  The biggest problem was my nail (I have acrylics on) ripped off the nail bed, one of the times we flipped our boat.  Acrylic is still on the nail...nail is only attached at the base of the bed!  So crafting today was a little difficult.  The next 3-4 months should be fun waiting for it to grow out! ;o) !!!

Anyway on to the card that seemed to take all day!!!  I love it when Robyn at My Pink Stamper has a challenge!  I would love to win the stamp set she's giving away too!

Recipe:
Cricut Cartridge:  Winter Frolic
Paper:  DCWV, Bazzill
Ribbon:  Papertrey Ink, AMM
Stamp: My Pink Stamper
Stickles, white pen
Ink: Papertery Ink

I hope your weekend was a great one!

"Throwback Thursday" Princess Theme Challenge with Emma @ My Creative Time

Just a quick post for Emma's challenge at My Creative Time!  Her Throwback Thursday is to use Tinkerbell cart or older cart for a princess theme.  I don't have that one so I used Wedding Soulution and Storybook.  My princess is Cinderella's glass slipper and she lived "happily ever after"!  I was so temped to use my new Rock Princess, but decided to try to use the older ones first!  Again, I'm having trouble with the lighting in my room lately, so the colors just aren't showing up right.  The colors are actually yellow (that's obvious), Cinderella blue and silver, but you would never know it!

Cricut Cartridges: Wedding Solution, Storybook
Paper: Bazzil, Debbie Mum, Metallic
Punch: Stampin Up
Stickles, rhinestones, ribbon
shoe cut at 3"
words cut at 2"

Enjoy!

Erin Lee Creative Halloween Challenge "Coffin Candy Dish"

Hello!

So glad it's friday and that tomorrow is SATURDAY!!!!  The last three weeks have been so busy for me, that I can finally breath!  Tomorrow about 10 of us are going white water rafting, in 2 man rafts!  Needless to say, I some what scared, yet excited at the same time!  Of course being the scrapbooker that I am, I bought a water proof camera for each raft, to capture all the excitement!  Hopefully I won't be frozen like a statue and I'll be able to take pictures.

Ok, enough about me and my happenings...on to the challenge.  Erin at Erin Lee Creative is having a Halloween challenge, it can be a  card, layout or project.  Well I went for the project...a candy dish.  I  usually don't say this but the pictures don't do it justice...it's so much cuter in person.  I didn't have good lighting this morning!  :(

Recipe:
Cricut Cartridge: Happy Hauntings (one of my gifts from PC!)
Paper: Bazzill, Theresa Collins, Metallic
Punches: Stampin Up, EK Success
rhinestones
and of course candy!
coffin cut 11 1/2 "
gate and layer cut 3"
tombstone and layer cut 5" (one is flipped for the back)

I thought the "M.T. Tomb" was perfect for a candy dish, since it would soon be empty!

Have a creative day and weekend!

Masculine Birthday Card

Hi!

I hope you are having a fabulous week!  Now that summer is almost over, it's finally feeling like summer here.  It's suppose to be about a 106 degrees today!  HOT HOT HOT!!!  But then back down to mid 70's by the weekend.  Not good, a group of us a going white water rafting on Saturday, and I'm sure the water is going to be COLD!!!!  I'm going to try to get pictures, water proof camera of course, and will post if they come out!

Anyways on to the card!  I needed to make a card for my dad's birthday and had some scraps left from a LO.  I still don't have alot of manly images, but I thought this crane from Pagoda would work.  I believe I cut the crane at 4".  Once I put it together, I forgot I wanted to cut a shadow.  I think it would've looked better with it, but I didn't want to tear it apart!  So there it is!  Isn't that the beauty of handmade, you never know what you'll end up with!

Receipe:
Paper: Bazzill, DCWV, Bo Bunny (I think for pattern)
Stampin Up: stamp, punches
Tim Holz ink
Michael's: ribbon

Enjoy!

I CAN FINALLY TELL YOU MY SECRET!

Hi!

No I didn't create my own cartridge or stamps, or anything that would give me an income!  I won the grand prize of a contest that was open to Cricut Circle members!  After I entered I found out that I was a finalist along with other members, that was my secret!  Then I found out that another blogger friend, Erin at erin lee creative was a finalist!  How exciting is that!  I was hoping that they would have several winners to film so I could meet her!

So here's what I won!  A trip to Utah to film a segment for an upcoming infomercial and demo one of my projects for the DVD, a tour of ProvoCraft and lots of goodies (including new cartridges that I didn't have)!  I was so impressed with all the people that I met at ProvoCraft and the production staff!  The director of Cricut Circle sat down with me to get my feed back on the club.  He truly wants to make this club wonderful and has put his heart into it!   I got to go behind the scenes, and see different things...sorry no pic's allowed and I can't tell what I saw!  But I can show you a few pictures of me at the studio and at ProvoCraft!

Getting my make up done by AnnaKay

Wendy Switzer and me on the set.

me at ProvoCraft in the design center, I'm so tired at this point, but like a kid in a candy store...just bouncing off the walls (in my head of course, I didn't want them to think I was insane!).  Oh my...my head was really spinning by this point!

Then back to the airport.  I was in Utah for less than 24 hours!  This was an awesome 24 hours for the paper crafting geek that I am!

One last thing, it's my understanding that a lot of amazing projects were submitted.  A lot of hard work goes into this, and I just want to CONGRATULATE all the other finalist too!  I just wish I knew who all of you were!

Enjoy!

Back to Snooping on You!

Hi!

You guys have been great, with all your guesses on my secret!.  Keep'em coming, I will let you know who the winner is on Monday!  Sorry no project today, I'm still recovering from last week (ooh that was close I almost told you my secret) and on Saturday I'm going to an 12 hour crop!  And I am DETERMINED to get something accomplished (not my usual 3 hours per page, eatting and talking the time away), so I've been preplanning my pages.  I will post them on Monday when I announce the winner!

Have a fabulous weekend!

I have a secret!

Hi Everyone!

I have some super exciting news...but I can't tell you!  Well at least not yet!  Let's just say that in the paper crafting world this is BIG, REALLY BIG!  Ok, maybe just in my world it is.  So for a few days, there will be no posting or snooping on anyones blog.  :(

So let's make this interesting, tell me what you think my secret is and I'll see if I can find some blog candy to give away for the correct answer.  Or what I think is the closest!  For those who know me in my everyday life, please don't let the cat out of the bag.  I'm not sure if I was suppose to tell you!  ;o)

Enjoy!
