MCT Weird Holiday ~ lazy day!

Happy Lazy Day!  Well it's not actually today, it's August 10 and I plan to celebrate!  Today over at My Creative Time we are celebrating "Weird Holidays" for August and I chose "Lazy Day"!

I used a Misti to stamp the "water" lines, copic markers for the palm tree and flip flops, and dies to create the water and sand.

MCT Made In Minutes ~ thinking of you!

Hello friends, today is Made in Minutes over at My Creative Time!  My card today was just sitting on my desk in pieces when I sat down at my desk to create.  Basically they were leftovers from when I was creating our last release.  As I sat there without a plan, I started to clean up then realized that everything I was going to throw away would make a cute quick card.  :)

I inked the edges, then attached everything and added the rhinestones to the butterfly.  I love it when a card comes together that easy!

MCT Inspire Me Wednesday ~ watercolor dress!

Happy Wednesday to you and welcome to My Creative Time Inspire Me Wednesday!  Today I get to share with you what inspires me.  I love it when something completely different gives me the inspiration I need to get my creative juices flowing...just like this dress!

What do you think?  Would you wear this?  I would for sure, but even if you wouldn't, I think it makes for a great card inspiration.  

I first stamped the black lines with Archival ink using Mad for Plaid stamp and die set.  Next I embossed with black glitter powder using A Beautiful Day stamp and die set, then water colored the flowers with Distress Inks.  I just let the magic of Distress Inks do their thing...and voila it was done!  A few sequins and some thin hemp and my card was complete.

MCTJuly Release Sneak Peek Day 3 ~ cool pineapple!

Welcome to day 3 of My Creative Time July Release Sneak Peeks!  I have super fun dies to share with you, it the Big Stitched Flip Flop Die and the Cute Bows Dies (the freebie die)!  Doesn't this flip flop just scream SUMMER!!!

To create the card base I first embossed the the scallop part then die cut only half of the die.  For the sole part I stamped with Archival ink then water color with Distress Inks.  Next stamped the sunglasses on one pineapple and added glossy accents.  For the blue and yellow sunglasses, I stamped full strength and the stamp off method to create variation of colors.

MCT Tag It Tuesday ~ all you need is a book!

Hello, it's Tag It Tuesday over at My Creative Time and have a cute "tag" bookmark to 

share with you, using So Many Books stamp and die set.  

This bookmark can easily be remove to actually use.  :)

For the background of the card I used VersaMark ink to stamp the sentiment, repeating it to create a pattern.  I stamped two flowers with Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers, adding a bit of Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.  Once completely dry I adhered the flowers only half way so I was able to slide the bookmark in.  The bookmark was stamped an colored the same as the large flowers.

MCT Cook-n-Craft ~ wood and feathers!

Happy Monday!  Today over at My Creative Time it's Cook-n-Craft.  This is where we share what's for dinner and a project.  You might even want to try one of our recipes :)

For my card, I first used modeling paste with a wood stencil and let dry.  Once it was dry, I ink blended lightly with Distress ink.  The feathers were stamped with Archival  ink, and water colored with Distress inks.  I added some white dots with a gel pen and attached to the panel and card base

Now for my dinner...I looove spicy food, fajitas and nachos but I try to stay away from tortillas and  chips (I could eat the whole bag no matter the size) so this is what I do when I'm craving both.  I grill up chicken, peppers, and onions with lots of seasonings.  

Then I take brown rice tortillas cut them up, spray with coconut oil, salt and pepper them and broil for a few short minutes.  I turn them a couple of times until brown and crispy.  

Next I layer up my plate and top with guacamole and sour cream...YUMMY!
