EAD Designs Monday Hop!!!

Happy Monday!  Welcome to EAD Designs Monday Hop!  You should have arrived here from sweet Lauren of Lauren's Creative!  I can't wait to see what she made, her projects are always awesome.  If you just popped by to see me, please head over to EAD's blog for the start.  Make sure you leave a comment along the way, so you'll be eligible for this weeks giveaway!  And while you're there you can see if you won last weeks!

Now I need to let you know something...I really haven't given up on my cricut.  It's just that I just finished making wedding invitations with it and I wanted to give it a break!  ;)

Aren't this stickerz soooo cute!  I adhered it to white cardstock, then cut around it.  I used a copic marker to color in the pencil (isn't that too cool!), then popped it up with pop dots!

recipe:

paper: Echo Park
ribbon, twine, copic marker, ink

This is the last day to order the Steal of the Month!

EAD Designs Monday Hop!

Happy Happy Monday!  Welcome to EAD Designs Monday Hop!  First of all I want to say thank you to my new followers and that this is a super quick hop!  You should have arrived here from Lauren, isn't she soooo creative!  If you just popped in to see me, you'll really want to go to the start at EAD Designs Blog and leave a comment for all so that you're eligible for this week's giveaway or to see if you won last week's!

For today's project I made a quick and easy card out of scraps and only one image of the sheet!  I really want you to know what a great value it is to use EAD's stickerz for card making or layouts!  All you have to do is take the image, adhear to paper (I used white, the stickerz are clear) cut out around the image.  Then I used pop dots for depth.  I stamped "happy fall" used my SU punch to make the hanging sign.  I used twine to hang the sign in each hand.  The whole thing took less than 10 minutes to make!  Isn't that what we all need during the Holiday's...cute yet quick!

Recipe:
3x3 card base
paper: Cosmo Cricket, Stampin Up
ink, pen, twine, raffia

Before I tell you your next stop, I want to share a little secret with you...starting tomorrow EAD is having Two for Tuesday!  What is that you ask?  There will be a sale on a select stickerz set, that for only one day, you will be able to purchase two sheets for the price of one! So be sure to check back with EAD every Tuesday!

Did you ever wonder where some of the nursery rhymes came from?  Well I decided since I choose Rain Rain Go Away, that I should know where it came from!

History of "Rain rain go away" poem
The origin of the lyrics to "Rain rain go away" are said to date back to the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603), one of the English Tudor monarchs. During this period of English history there was constant rivalry between Spain and England culminating in the launch of the Spanish Armada in 1588. The Spanish Armada consisted of many Spanish galleons and was sent to invade England. The Armada was led by Duke of Medina Sedonia and the the fleet numbered over 130 ships. The English fleet, under Admiral Lord Howard, totalled 34 small Navy vessels and 163 armed merchant ships.
But the great Spanish Armada was defeated. Only 65 Spanish galleons and just 10,000 men returned to Spain. The attempt failed, not only because of the swift nature of the smaller English ships but also by the stormy weather which scattered the Armada fleet. Hence the origin of the "Rain rain go away" Nursery rhyme!

I had no idea!  Now for my project...I just used the rhyme for inspiration, so here's my take...

My Creative Time's October Release Day 2!!!

Hello, I hope you are enjoying your week so far!  If you haven't heard My Creative Time has done it again with the cutest stamps being release on Friday!  If you haven't already seen what the other girls on the Design Team made yesterday, you really need to take a peek!  I just know you'll be blown away!

For today's project we are all featuring All Around Accessories!  This set is SOOO CUTE!  You can use them for layouts, cards, and so much more!
(sorry for the bad lighting of the picture)

I first stamped the santa suit on white cardstock, then used zig glue to fill in the area that I wanted red, then sprinkled the red glitter.  Once dry, I did the same thing for the buckle with gold.  Again when dry I used flocking for the fur areas.  *disclaimer* don't look to hard other wise you'll be able to see where a little of the red glitter got on the flocking.

recipe: shhh...no cricut today
paper: Authentique, Stampin Up
tulle, bells, glitter, flock, ink

Monday Hop with EAD Designs!!!

Hello! Can you believe it's Monday already?  I'm really ready for fall and everything that comes with it!  I'm hoping the weather will start to get that way soon!  You should have arrived here from Lauren at Lauren's Creative, I'm sure her project was just FABULOUS!!!  But if you want to be eligible for this week's prize you'll want to head over to EAD's blog at the start, follow the hop leaving a comment along the way!

Now on to today's project...

I bent the banner a little bit, for some added interest.

recipe:

paper: Cosmo Cricket, Stampin Up
black pen, Tim Holtz ink

I had several stickerz left over from when I made a layout.  So I thought I could make a cute card using only 1 of the stickerz!  With one stickerz sheet I've been able to make a 12 x 12 layout and a card, plus still have more left!  This a great value!!!

Don't forget that EAD has a color challenge!  The winner will be a Guest Designer, how exciting is that!!!

Your next stop is Amy T!  I know she is going to have something SPECIAL for you!

Enjoy!
