MCT November Release Blog Hop ~ hi sweetie!

Hello, today is My Creative Time November Release Blog Hop!  I hope you've enjoyed this "fun and sweet" release!  You should have arrived here from the talented Miss Kim, if not head over to our fabulous leader Miss Emma...this way you don't miss a thing.

Do you remember my card from Monday where I die cut the circle out of my background?  That's right I saved it to use on this card.  Well actually I made both cards at the same time...this is a big time saver for me.  :)  After heat embossing and water coloring the candy pieces I added glossy accents.  By simply adding opalescence thread behind the candies softened the background.  Then a few sequins and glossy accent dots and it's complete.

MCT November Release Sneak Peek Day 3 ~ popping by!

Good Morning it's Day 3 of My Creative Time November Release Sneak Peek.
I hope you've been enjoying this week so far!

After stamping the background I colored it with copic markers.  I die cut several pieces to pop up, one of them I actually die cut one from the stamped background so I could slip and action wobble in.  I also added a bit of wink of stella and glossy accents to the "popped" up popcorn.

Yikes!  I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the sentiment on the inside!  Well it says "popping by to say hi" and it's super cute!  hehehe

MCT November Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ life is better!

Welcome back to My Creative Time November Release Sneak Peek Day 2!  Wasn't yesterday's sneak peeks awesome!  Well we have another AWESOME day to share with you :)

Today I'm sharing "Be Your Best Selfie" stamp and die set!  Yep, it's all about the selfie, which is probably geared more towards scrapbooking.  However, I never use things what they were meant
for, so I made a card!

I used the die cut twice, once for black and once for watercolor paper so I could inlay the
watercolor paper inside the black frame.  I quickly gave the watercolor paper a wash of yellow, green, and blue using distress inks.

MCT November Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ hi sweetie!

Hello welcome to Day 1 of My Creative Time  November Release Sneak Peek!  Well I hope you are ready for a bit of candy and fun this week because Miss Emma had done it again!!!

Today I get to share with you "Hi Sweetie" & "Stripey Background" Sets.

I first heat embossed white embossing powder on watercolor paper with the Stripey Background stamp.  Once cooled I quickly painted it with Distress Inks.  After it dried, I die cut the circle...of course I saved the partial circle for another project :)
Lastly I stamped the sentiment then added a few black and clear sequins.

MCT Tag It Tuesday ~ merry christmas!

Hi today is Tag It Tuesday over at My Creative Time.
I think you know by now my feeling about tags...they are perfect to have on hand for any occasion!  You can quickly hang them from a gift bag or add them to a card base for a quick card!

My tag today is going to be added to my Christmas stash.  I usually have some sort of theme or color scheme for my holiday wrap, however this year I think I'm going for an eclectic look.  I'm toying around the idea that the wrap will be solid colors of red, white, and kraft, with the tags and ribbon being the focal point.

After die cutting the tag I stamped with the striped border twice with my Misti tool.  I didn't get the lines perfect so I added the "merry christmas" banner to hide my mistake.  Remember no mistakes in paper crafting you just have to make some adjustments  :)

The wood background was created using white pigment ink on the grey.  For the pine needles, I stamped with VersaMark on the blue/green cardstock...VersaMark is the best "color" ink to have since it goes with EVERYTHING!  Then I fussy cut the pine needles...oh how I wish Miss Emma would come out with dies for the "Pretty Spring Wreath" Stamp set!!!!  hint hint  ;)

MCT Trending Now Peek-a-boo Cards ~ congrats!

Hello!  Today is Trending Now over at My Creative Time...Did you know that Peek-a-boo cards are all the rage?  No, really?  Well they are, however there are all types of "peek-a-boo"s.  A peek-a-boo could be a slider that pops out or it can be as simple as a face peeking out.

My card is a sliding type card, I made for my nephew and his wife that are expecting their first baby.  Please don't be upset with me for not giving the instructions...it's way too complicated for me to explain.  However, I'm planning on making a video in the next few weeks showing exactly how I did this.

I stamped and masked stamped the animals then colored them with copic markers.  VersaMark ink was used on the dusty green strip for the stars.  A little chalk, white gel pen, and glossy accents make the baby animals come to life.

MCT What A Treat Wednesday ~ for you!

Good Morning!  Today is What a Treat Wednesday over at My Creative Time and I have a quick treat  to share with.  In fact this was so quick that I should have saved it for a Made in Minutes day!

Do you remember the "batik" style card I made for the last MCT release?  If not you can see it HERE.  I had cut out part of the background paper that I had stamped and inked, but I didn't throw it away.  I wasn't sure what I was going to use it for...until now!  It became the perfect background for my "flower" sentiment!

After 2nd generation stamping the flower with waterproof ink, I quickly water colored it with distress inks and wink of stella shimmer.  Once it was dry, I added glossy accents.  So easy peasy!

I do have to confess, I actually used the wrong sentiment...it was suppose to have "especially for you"...this is what happens when I don't use my glasses when stamping  :/   So now I'm going to cut a small paper to slide in the pocket for a card.
See no mistakes in paper crafting, as Miss Emma says!  lol
