I'M BACK!!!

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to EAD Designs Monday Hop! Before I get you started on the on hop, I just want to take a few moments to thank all of My Guest Designers! I have been truly AMAZED and touched for all the time that they spent working on their FABULOUS projects. Also at the love and support all of you have shown me during my surgery and recovery! All I can say is...take care of your shoulders! This one surgery you don't want to have! I'm still not fully recovered and may have to have more procedures to get back my full range of motion, but I will deal with that when I have to! Now on to the hop!
You should have arrived here from darling Lauren of Lauren's Creative! If not you will want to go to EAD's blog for the start!
For today's project I made a birthday card for my oldest daughter. She love sushi, so I knew when I saw these adorable stickerz, they were for her!

recipe:
paper: PTI, Teresa Collins
I still have a enough stickerz left to make a cute little layout! After not crafting for sooo looong, I feel a bit rusty! I'm sure it will get easier!

Make sure to leave a comment along the way, for this week's giveaway...a stickerz sheet of your choice!  If you've never used them, this is the perfect tway to try out EAD's stickerz!
Your next stop on the hop is Rose, I can't wait to see what beautiful project she has made for us!
Enjoy!

My Guest Designer: Glora!

Hi, this is Glora from Glora's Crafts. I'm SO happy to be guest designing for Liz today. I have admired Liz's work for A LONG time and I have also been lucky enough to work with her on the My Creative Time Design Team! She is SO sweet and super talented. I'm certain she can hardly wait to start posting on her own blog again and I can't wait to see what creative projects she has dreamed up while recovering.

Today I wanted to share a card that I made for my daughter's dance teacher. They have just finished their dance year and dance recital and I wanted to make sure to tell her thank you.

I hope you like it, I was going for a classic ballet kind of look with just black, white and pink. The frame shape and the ballet slippers are from the Shall We Dance Cricut cartridge. The beautiful flowers were made using My Creative Time's Flower Petal dies. I also used the My Creative Time Stitched Oval die and stamped a sentiment from the Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set. I added some sweet little pink buttons and some faux stitching with my gel pen. That pretty background paper is by Doodlebug Design and is called Petite Prints.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Liz has some exciting news to share with you, but not quite yet. However, in the meantime, while she's recovering, she is reading every comment! Not only is she reading them, she's counting them, because at the end of all this, she will have two announcements! The first will be a winner of some exciting BLOG CANDY! The second, it's a big one...and no, she's not coming out with stamps...you just have to wait and see!

Oh my goodness Glora!  Your card is just AWESOME!  She is going to love it!  I just want to tell all of  my guest designers how FABULOUS you all were!  Having all of you has truly helped me during my LONG recovery!  THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!!!

Enjoy!

My Guest Designer: Trell!

Hello crafty friends, Trell here from Polka Dots, Paint, and Cake Batter! Today I am guest designing for my wonderful design team sister, Liz. I have a super simple card to show you all using the latest My Creative Time Release and patterned paper from Crate Paper.

I was helping a friend of mine make some invitations for a dinner that we’re attending and she was kind enough to give me some of the patterned paper that she bought to make them. The beautiful floral paper is from the Crate Paper Restoration Collection. The labels are Spellbinders Label Three – one of my absolute faves. My sentiment is from the new Floral Sentiments (Backordered, but will be back in stock on April 27th!) set from My Creative Time. I used Versamark to stamp it and I embossed it with white Zing embossing powder from American Crafts.

I am not a big embellisher – I don’t own a much to be honest, but I used some mulberry roses in coordinating colors and added a little bit of Stickles to help them stand apart from the patterned paper. I used some cream twill from Michael’s to tie a simple bow and I added a button and some blue twine from The Twinery as well. To finish it off, I took some white and pink Studio G pigment ink and swiped it around some of the various card elements. Easy peasy! That’s it for me, but . . .

I know I want to know what she has in store! Again, thanks for coming by, and always, I wish you a very blessed day!

Wow Trell!  Your card is simply BEAUTIFUL!  Thank you so much for stepping in for me and sharing your talent with us!

Enjoy!

My Guest Designer: Lori!

Hi everyone, this is Lori with got2bcrafting.  I am beyond excited to be guest designing for Liz today, it is a true honor.  I had the pleasure of meeting Liz last year, and she is just the sweetest!!  I have been a big fan of hers for quite some time, and I can't wait until she is fully recovered and back to crafting!  I miss seeing her amazing work, as I am sure you are as well.  :) For today's project, I created a frame that I will be giving my mother on Mother's Day.  This is the first altered frame that I have attempted, and I can't believe how easy it was.  I am definitely going to be making more!  The best part is, the frame only cost $1 at Michaels... gotta love it!
All of the paper and the white floral rub on is from my stash of old Stampin Up products. The flowers were created using the Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and the greenery is from Prima. I used the Cricut Lyrical Letters cartridge for the font, which was cut out using vinyl. The polka dot strip is punched with an SU punch and I added a little ribbon and pearls ...and viola, it was done.  Now I just need my girls to cooperate and take a  nice picture to put in grandma's frame... wish me luck!!

Oh my goodness Lori!  Your frame is absolutely beautiful! With Mother's Day just around the corner, this is the perfect gift for any grandmother!  Update on my recovery...I should be back crafting for you on April 30th!  Oh! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Enjoy!

My Guest Designer: Heather!

Hi there! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards. So happy to be over here guest designing for Liz while she continues to recover! Wishing her all the best - and can't wait to see her creations again! In the meantime, since it is suddenly getting very close to Mother's Day (how did that happen so quickly?!?!?!) I decided to make a Mother's Day Card! I kept it pretty simple:
To start off, I used a Spellbinder's Nestabilities, but instead of cutting it, I used a couple of tiny pieces of tape to attach it to my card front, then just ran it through my Cuttlebug with the embossing pads. So instead of cutting, it just got a little deeper emboss on that line. I thought it had a cool framing effect.
I then used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out a Silhouette - there are also several choices for those on the Cricut that I could have used. Attached that to the card, along with a sentiment from My Creative Time Stamps - the very first set I purchased, "Mom You Rock."
Finished off with some Crinkle Ribbon in a matching red, and a couple of stick on red gems that I got from Michael's recently.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Wow Heather!  THANK YOU so much for stepping in for me while I continue to recover!  Also thank you to all of you, that have been praying for my quick recovey!  My rotator cuff is repaired, however the exercises are pure torture..but I'm getting better everyday!  And I can't wait to get back to crafting!!!!

My Guest Designer: Leanne!

Hello!! This is Leanne from Created by Leanne and I'm so excited and honored to be a guest designer on on Liz's Paper Loft today! I've always admired Liz's creations! Everything she makes is absolutely gorgeous!! I can't wait till she is able to return to the crafty world! I miss you Liz!!

I whipped this up this evening (nothing like waiting to the last minute huh!) using the Birthday Bash cartridge! I thought this postage shape card also went great with Emma's set, Happy Mail! I also tried something a little new for me by not inking any of the edges! I notice that a lot of the cards in magazines are not inked so I thought I would give it a try! This cute little snail is also from the Birthday Bash cartridge. For the face, I used the newest release from Peachy Keen PK-112 Cherub Face Assortment. The cute little heart that is holding the envelope sealed plus the sentiment I used are both from My Creative Time's, Happy Mail set. I added some stickles to the heart for a little bling!

Thank you soooo much Liz for having me today! I hope you are feeling much better and I'm praying for a speedy recovery! Love and miss you bunches! Hugs, Leanne

My Guest Designer: Katie!

Hi, this is Katie from Crafting with Katie, and I am so honored to be Liz's guest designer today!  She is an amazing crafter and a wonderful friend, and I hope she can get back to crafting her gorgeous creations soon!  For my project, I made a little gift for my niece, who is in love with her puppy, Blua.  I thought Liz would enjoy this too, since she has an adorable new addition to her own family!
This doghouse was made with the new Cricut Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 cartridge.  I just thought it was so cute, and it was fairly simple to put it together.  I cut it at 5".  The letters on the doghouse are cut at 1/2".
For my card, I used an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" rustic white card base, scored at 4 1/4".  My polka dot layer is 4" x 5 1/4", and I added strips of red and ruler patterned paper to it before stitching around the edges.  I then distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and adhered it to the card base.
To make the note paper, I just cut a square of rustic white cardstock and edged it with the ekSuccess Binding Edge Punch.  I added the lines with the Papertrey Ink Library Ledger stamp set, the dog from My Creative Time's Keepin' it Classy, and the sentiment from My Creative Time's Classy and Fabulous.  A pretty button and some twine finished it off!
Now, Liz has some exciting news to share with you, but not quite yet.  However, in the meantime, while she's recovering, she is reading every comment!  Not only is she reading them, but she's counting them too, because at the end of all of this she will have two big announcements!  The first will be a winner of some exciting BLOG CANDY!  The second, it's a big one... and no, she's not coming out with stamps... you'll just have to wait and see!

My Guest Designer: Sandra!

Hi everyone, this is Sandra from 365 Days of Cricut, I am so excited to be a guest designer for one of my favorite blogs.....  Liz's Paper Loft! I hope you are having a fast recovery Liz, and hopefully we can both get back to crafting soon! I am still taking a crafting break from having my baby just 11 days ago! Luckily I made this layout way in advance just for today's post.

This is a layout I made for my 2010 scrapbook album, this day we celebrated my mom's birthday at a local paleontology museum. The picture of us had a really ugly  background, so I edited the picture to black & white to make it look pretty! I used some old paper from a Summer DCWV paper stack and added some Prima flowers, bling, micro beads, glitter and butterflies. I also did some painting and stitching with my Sew Easy.

I used my lovely Silhouette Cameo to create the marquee shapes, butterflies, title, and the (brown) rolled paper roses.

Here's a list by name of the Silhouette files I used from the Silhouette store:
