MCT Manly Monday ~ sailing by...

Good morning and happy Monday!  Today over at My Creative Time is Manly Monday, just in time for a little Father's Day inspiration.

The first thing I did was to create the plaid on my card base, then assemble the tag and porthole layers.  Even with all the layers, this is basically a flat card.  I forgot to take a picture of the inside which said "happy father's day!".  OOPS  ;)

MCT 55th Edition Sneak Peek #4 ~ dreams!

Hey hey we are on day 4 of My Creative Time May Release and it's the last day of sneak peeks before the shopping can begin! I know I've loved all the creativity that's been happening this week! How 'bout you?! Today I get to share with you two sets, CIRCLE BALLOON & SCRIPT WORDS. Oh so fun!!! Last week I took an Online Card Class but didn't get a chance to play until now, so this card is completely inspired from that class.

First I embossed the vellum card base, then added the pink balloon die to the front and two white balloons to the inside (after I stamped the sentiments). This way you can write a sentiment inside, and a bonus that the adhesive doesn't show through. :) Isn't this sentiment perfect for graduations!

I needed to make several graduation cards so decided to do a few more with solid paper embossed. I also added a black hemp string to each of them.

Oh my we are half way through this months sneak peeks for My Creative Time May Release! This week is flying by! Last week was Miss Emma's birthday so of course she had to create a new birthday set, Make a Wish! Oh by the way this is the card I sent to Miss Emma :)

MCT 55th Edition Sneak Peek #2 ~ hello super star!

Whoop whoop today is day 2 of My Creative Time May Release Sneak Peeks!  Did you get a chance to see all the projects the team created yesterday?  Fabulous, right?  Well today I get to share with you the new set SHINE LIKE THE STARS! What a great set it is!

After heat embossing the stars and sentiment on bristol paper, I added watercoloring with lots of pigment.  I also added a strip of gold glitter embossing.

MCT 55th Edition Sneak Peek #1 ~ happy father's day!

Wow, I can't believe it's already May and time for another release from My Creative Time! Today I get to share the new stamp and die set, GREATEST HANDYMAN. This set is a must have to create the "manly" cards we all struggle with, though not only for cards. I'm in the middle of a kitchen makeover and these fun tools will be great for a scrapbook page!

First I stamp all the images on the watercolor paper.  Next I scribbled SU markers on a pallet.  With a brush and water I used the "scribbles" to water color the images.  After all were dry I added glossy accents and few little metal gears.

MCT Thoughtful Thursday ~ pretty flowers!

Hello!  First things first...I'm sorry my pictures are terrible today!  I didn't realize that they were bad until after I mailed my card to my step mom for Mother's Day.  Today is Thoughtful Thursday at

 My Creative Time, and even though I just told you this was a Mother's Day card, I think it would

 be a pretty card for any occasion.

I used the Mad for Plaid set to create the plaid pattern, I told you I've been using it a lot!  Before I stamped the plaid I did some masking to create the "sketch" flowers in the background with brown.  Then using the same brown and the stamp off method to have really faint lines for "no line" copic coloring.

MCT Tag It Tuesday ~ hello!

Hello paper peeps!  Today over at My Creative Time is Tag It Tuesday, so I have a sweet tag to share with you!  

While my house was in such a disastrous state this fabulous plaid set was released and this is the first time I got to play with them!  I think I've used them on three other projects to be shared later this month...yeah that's right I've been a crafting fool since I got my room put back together!  :)

I added plaid to the tag and colored the flower with copic markers, cut "hello" out three times and adhered to each other to create a thick sentiment.  Super quick and easy!
