MCT 5 Days of Christmas Day 3 ~ fa la la la la la la la la!

GOOD MORNING my friends! Today is Day 3 of My Creative Time 5 Days of Christmas. This week my Design Team Sisters at My Creative Time are working on a treat this week for our “5 Day s of Christmas”. You will see tons of AMAZING ideas from tags, treats, cards, gift card holders, etc.... to get your holidays off to a “crafty” good start! We all hope you enjoy everything you will see this week!   

Today I have a sweet card to share with you!

This card looks more time consuming that it is.  I first die cut the background with the circles, then stamped the birdies with Memento Ink and colored with copic markers.  Next I die cut the birds, hat, and branch, then assembled.  For the banner I heat embossed the sentiment.  Super quick and fun card!

MCT 5 Days of Christmas ~ counting the days!

GOOD MORNING my friends! Today is Day 2 of My Creative Time 5 Days of Christmas. This week my Design Team Sisters at My Creative Time are working on a treat this week for our “5 Day s of Christmas”. You will see tons of AMAZING ideas from tags, treats, cards, gift card holders, etc.... to get your holidays off to a “crafty” good start! We all hope you enjoy everything you will see this week!   

Today we are sharing "treat holders"!  My treat holder is actually an Advent Calendar.  (sorry about my pictures today. I had a hard time photographing the glitter paper).

This may seem time consuming, however it really isn't.  Just pick out 4 coordinating 12x12 papers (thicker cardstock works best).  Oh a little bit of glitter paper too!  Then die cut and glue away...

Inside the matchbook a Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares is attached with a glue dot.

MCT November Release Blog Hop ~ celebrate!

My card is super simple to make, yet has lots of "flash" :)

I stamped the two silver "bursts" with versamark ink then used glitter embossing powder and heat set.  Once they were cool, I did the samething for the gold "burst".   I die cut "celebration" twice, one white and one gold paper and attached them to each other.  I like the thicker look with words when a card is virtually flat.

MCT November Release Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ bright!

Happy Thursday and day 4 of My Creative Time November Release Sneak Peeks!  Today I have a fun die to share with you, it's called The Perfect Match.  

I thought the matchbook would be fun on the outside of the card.  First thing I did was to heat emboss the candles with white, then watercolor them with distress ink.  Stamped the sentiment in a random pattern with a dark pink ink.  I added metallic thread under the matchbook.

Aren't the little matches adorable!  The size of the matchbook will actually fit the 

Ghirardelli chocolate candy squares.  How fun is that!

MCT November Release Sneak Peek Day 3 ~ give thanks!

Hi it's day 3 of My Creative Time November Release Sneak Peeks!  I hope you've enjoyed the week so far.   Today I'm sneak peeking Thank You & Frame dies.

If you've followed me for awhile now, then you know I used to make all my cards with tons of layers and bows.  Then at some point I started making them with less bulk...rarely bows and buttons.  So today's card was really fun to make.  Clean and simple cards are actually hard for me to do...I'm always fighting the urge to add more stuff. 

Isn't the yellow embossed frame pretty!  After I die cut the leaves, I inked the edges of all them (another thing I rarely do now).  For the "give" stamp I used the masking technique.

MCT November Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ~

Hello, today is day 2 of My Creative Time November Release Sneak Peeks!  I'm sharing with you   Huge Celebration stamp set, which is also the Freebie Stamp Set (rules will be posted Friday).

I first stamped the city image with my MISTI.  Next I heat embossed the silver and gold glitter bursts.  After they were cool, I stamped the bursts with VersaMark ink to create the layers.  There is a sentiment that's included with the set, that I stamped inside the card...oops forget to take a picture of it  :)

MCT November Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ best year!

 Well it's already November and it's time for My Creative Time sneak peeks!  Today is day 1, and I get to share with you Encouraging New Year!  This set has several sentiments and great shaped die.  Oh, and they aren't only for the New Years as you can see by my card.  :)

First thing I did was to die cut the label from my card base and the white strip.  Then I stamped the cupcakes and watercolored them (yes, I did use them last week...I think they are too cute!).  Next I added wink of stella to the frosting.

MCT Thoughtful Thursday ~ thinking of you!

Happy Thursday to you and welcome to My Creative Time's Thoughtful Thursday.  My card today could be just as it is, a "thinking of you" card or change the sentiment and it's a Thanksgiving Day Card.  

For the pumpkins and leaves, I stamped them with Archival Ink on Mixed Media art paper, then watercolored them Distress Ink.  Once they were dry I die cut them out.  For the tag I inked the edge with Distress Ink.

For the wood texture, I embossed a portion of the card base.  The sentiment stamp is actually one stamp.  I did a little masking to have part of it on the front and part on the inside of the card.

To create the background I stamped the words several times with VersaMark Ink.  VersaMark is the perfect ink for any color paper since it will always be just a darker version of your paper.  No need to figure out your ink color...just stamp ;)

I stamped the cupcakes with Memento Ink then colored with Copic Markers.  Later I added Wink of Stella for a bit of shimmer on the frosting and candle flames (the camera didn't pick up the shimmer).

For the letters I die cut the "h" and "b" three times and glued together for a "chip board" feel.  This stamp set is super versatile not just for the Mini Lollipop die, yet perfect for it too!
